Previously I talked about a Prometheus fan edit I saw called LV-426. It was pretty good. But it didn't really account for everything. So I thought it would be fun to make my own fan edit. I called it, Alien Engineers, named after the original script that became Prometheus. My intention was to turn it into the Alien prequel I wanted to see that answered my questions about Alien: Who was the Space Jockey, how did the Derelict crash, where did the eggs come from, what happened to the Alien that birthed from the Space Jockey, what melted the hole in the floor, what was the warning beacon that the Nostromo picked up, and how did the Company set up the Nostromo? My version answers all those questions. It was fun to make, there are some things I could've improved on and might go back too. I did a few other edits thanks to the LV-426 fan edit, like changing the planet to LV-426 instead of LV-223.

Do you guys wanna check it out? If you're not interested, that's cool. Besides, not all edits are everyone's improvement, my new saying and title of my autobiography "One person's improvement, is another person's sabotage."

I'd be curious to see how it turned out!

I don't know if I did a good job though. See, I changed the hologram label of the planet from LV-223 to LV-426, I used footage of the eggs and egg chamber from Alien to show that the cargo is Alien eggs instead pathogen vases, I had a Chestburster pop out the Engineer just before takeoff to say the ship is on autopilot, then I used the Neomorph from Alien Covenant to pass for the originally planned Ultramorph which was a good fit since both the Engineers and Neomorphs are albino and that it ate Weyland, Ford, and Jackson's bodies, and did this effect to make it look like Shaw took Jackson's gun and killed the Ultramorph and that it melted away leaving the hole Kane would be lowered into, finally Shaw's warning at the end is the one the Nostromo picks up mistaking for an SOS, since we never heard the beacon in Alien, and since the Company funded the expedition, then they knew something was there which would give them reason to put Ash on the crew. These effects were achieved by rotoscoping.

I had fun, but I don't know if people will be impressed, I'm sure they'd find it amateurish, or my favorite word "half-ass." I can send you a link of it in a personal message if you wanna see it. I just hope you appreciate the effort.

As a fellow fan editor, i'd love to see what you did. It sounds very interesting. P.M. a link if you would, please. :)

It has come to my attention that my fan edit might've had a frame rate problem that I never noticed. But I think I figured out what caused it and fixed it, I mean, as far as I know, but I've been wrong before. I'll know when I put it on a disc for myself, that's when I noticed it. Those of you who I sent PMs of it and felt the same problem, I think I fixed it. There might be another problem I might've noticed on another fan edit I was working on, a pixel problem, not as obvious maybe during dark scenes, I don't know. I'm very new to this.

But I have fun, and that's all that matters, and I hope people think I do a good job in achieving what I hope to achieve which is to improve movies I love, that need a little improvement. I've made three: Prometheus to make it a direct prequel to Alien like it should've been, Terminator Salvation to make the movie less convoluted, and Freddy vs. Jason to make Jason not afraid of water and take out some things the writers hated, like one character using the word "faggot," which was very inappropriate.

I tried my hand at The Predator, taking out all mention of the Predator Killer Suit cargo and make it the ship isn't carrying anything and simply the Fugitive Predator came to Earth to hide and the Uber Predator came to kill him and keep his tech and ship from falling into human hands, but got sidetracked into taking the boy. I just wish I had access to the footage of McKinna looking up at the sky and saying "So come and get us motherf**kers" which would be the perfect ending to my edit, but since I don't have it it just ends with him folding the bandanna and cut to black. Unfortunately, I don't think any kind of edit could save that movie. All the Predator movies, including the AVPs, I would always say "Yeah, that's so Predator" they were never out of character in all 5 of those movies. But The Predator was the first time I ever said "Yeah, that's so NOT Predator," everything was out of character for the Predators in that movie, and I don't think my edits could save it.

I also did a fan edit of the Alien Isolation Digital Series. I added the part where Marlow turns off the beacon to explain why the construction of Hadley's Hope never picked it up, which I felt should not have been cut from the digital series. I also put back Sigourney Weaver's dialogue from the game, since for some reason her dialogue was replaced in the digital series, I'm sure that was a rights issue, I also gave it an echo effect to make it sound right. So that was fun, even though it's only 70 minutes long.

I'm certainly super curious to see all of these.

Thank you. I think I will send a PM to everyone who asked for it. I just need to make sure the frame rate is good before I give everyone a link again. So far only one person gave me feedback, which was of the frame rate issue.

I'm currently working on a fan edit of Alien3 and a fan edit of Resurrection to go with it. But it's just for me, because I don't think my edits of how to improve Alien3 would interest anyone, especially here. Like my new saying "One person's improvement, is another person's sabotage." And because of my changes to Alien3, they carryon into Alien Resurrection, but I mostly wanna work on Resurrection to replace the Newborn with the Alien Queen. I thought it would be funny and just fun to see if it can be done.

Hello everyone, it has been awhile. After trying to fix the frame-rate problem someone pointed out to me, I sent a link to that person to tell me if I had fixed the problem, but I never heard from him. If it's not too late and you are all still interested, I would like to share my fan edit of Prometheus and see if I accomplished what I set out to do, which was making it a direct prequel to Alien that answers all the questions we asked for. The only question it doesn't answer is why the Engineers created us and then tried to kill us, but I think that's a question that has no easy answer and best to leave that one unanswered. Anywho, if anyone wants to see it, I have it in my google drive and can send you a link. Again, I just hope I fixed that frame rate problem.

P.S.
I can't take full credit for the fan edit, I was inspired by a fan edit called LV-426 which was good, but I thought I could do better to make it full-proof, and one person showed me his version which I used one part of his footage and his version gave me an idea of how to edit the last few parts, and someone else reviewed my ending and suggested how to make it better. They are all credited at the very end, like they should be happy they helped me.

I'd be interested in your The Predator edit if it's still available?

No offense, but, really? I mean, I can share it with you, I haven't put it in my drive because I never intended on sharing it. Because I don't think I did a good job, it was one of my first attempts so it might not be as good as my other works, I haven't looked it in a long time so I don't know if its fine tuned, it would be good if I had the footage of McKinna looking up at the sky saying "so come and get us motherf**ker," and most of all, because The Predator was just a bad idea to begin with and don't think any amount of editing could fix it. It's just not a Predator movie.

But, I can share it with you, but don't expect it to be good. Just hope I have enough room on my Google Drive, I've already got Alien Engineers (Prometheus fan edit), my Freddy vs. Jason fan edit, and my Terminator Salvation fan edit on it.

Sorry mate I forgot to get back to you. I'll download it tonight and check it out defo this week but i'll have a little look at it after downloading tonight to see if the frame rate issue is resolved on my end.

It's okay, in that time I've notice and fixed a lot of technical errors. My recent watch-through looked good, for frame-rate and errors. But I've been wrong before.

Can I have a link to your edit of Aliean: Isolation, if it's still available?
