Damn.
RIP DUDE.
Riiiiight......
RIP
Good innings that. :'(
RIP, he was great in every role. :(
That sucks. RIP Henry Dean Stanton. I am going to watch alien in honor of him.
RIP Brett. Back to the ol' freezerinos. :-(
Tom Skerritt better watch out if this order is anything to go by.
He was a true legend. Never gave a bad performance.
Paris, Texas is the best role I've seen him in. I know he's done a lot of movies, but mainly small parts.
Along with Parker, Brett was my favourite crew member from ALIEN. RIP Mr Stanton.
Still the greatest ever Alien death scene, the xeno's never been as terrifying as when it silently drops down behind him. R.I.P HDS, and thanks for everything... :(
Aww, Man. One of those actors that improved everything he appeared in.
First we lose most of the people involved in the design of the Alien and the bringing of it to life; and now we start losing the actors who portrayed its victims. Apparently, it's going to happen in the same order as they died onscreen. Life mimicking Art, so to speak.
Stanton will be missed. Loved him in everything I saw him perform in.
-Windebieste.
RIP he will always be part of an amazing movie ensemble.
wierd, first John Hurt, then Harry Dean Stanton they're dying in the order they die in the movie
Damn, what a tragedy. I really enjoyed him as Carl in Twin Peaks. Good man.

He had a good run; better than most.
God speed.
Not another one.
RIP
There's only one thing left to do.
Woke up to another death. :'( He's with John Hurt in that mess hall in the sky now.
I never had the opportunity to meet HDS. I was hoping to some day. RIP.
RIP Mr. Stanton. I can't say I was overly familiar with his work outside of 'Alien', 'Escape from New York', and 'Christine', but I thoroughly enjoyed what I saw.
Here is the trailer for his upcoming film "Lucky."

R.I.P ma man....... :( :( :(
91 huh. Not bad at all. Although man the alien world is taking hit after hit over the last few years.
RIP

Holy Shit!
On the topic, Tom Skerritt is 84 years old! :P
Wow 91, that's a fantastic age. Another legend gone and will be missed
Godspeed, Mr. Stanton. I'll watch Lucky in your honour.
Omg they are dying in the same order they died in the movie....someone email Tom Skerrit to watch himself.
RIP Brett... Right

Or maybe Ian Holm? Depends if we're taking the deleted cocoon scene into consideration...

Wow. Now that would be a twist. As if God himself is chiming in on which is really the better cut of Alien.
f**k. We're getting to the point where we've started losing people. Appreciate everyone now before theyre gone
RIP Harry Dean Stanton, the star of the Avengers.. :'(
RIP Brett :(
RIP Brett ol' buddy.
Hope you can now finally get that bonus situation sorted.
Brett was always one of my favourite characters. Harry Dean Stanton always seemed so wonderfully naturalistic in whatever he was in, but always brought just a hint of an oddball quality. Dude was perfect for Alien.
If anyone's interested, No Small Parts did a pretty interesting biography on him...
Sad day. He was one of my favorite characters in the first film...
Rest in peace sir...

It wouldn't surprise me if he ended up winning an Oscar posthumously for this role. Nice to see (for ALIEN fans) him sharing scenes with Tom Skerritt one last time.
91 years; a solid run. So many of the people involved in these wonderful films are passing away. The end of a generation I suppose. He was a fine actor, and fantastic in Alien. May he rest in peace.
I've spotted him throughout films over the years but other than Alien I don't recall seeing any of his other great performances. Brett was always a favourite of mine because of Stanton's dead pan performance. I've even occasionally caught myself using his trademark "Riiight" during conversations.
Spent some of today reading more about him to get a better picture of him. Hopefully the black void is everything he wanted it to be.
Thanks for an incredible performance in my favourite film, Mr. Stanton. I'll be sure to check out your other work.
Right.
He is the reason that Parker's death was so appealing to me. Ever since Parker told him to go get Jones, I loathed Parker for taking advantage of Brett's good nature. Sure, there was some redemption when Parker rescued Ripley from Ash but Brett was, by far, my favorite character and so I never completely forgave Parker.
RIP Harry.
"You still with us, Brett?" will take on a whole new meaning next time I see you in Alien.
:(
Brett let go of the cat, so it was his fault that they might pick the cat up on the tracker again. And he volunteered anyway.
RIP.
He had a great career and a long life, farewell dude.
He was the realest guy in every movie he was in. More than anyone else, I believed
he was a space trucker and personified the crew of the Nostromo.
Right...
:(

That looks like such a charming film to me. I really hope that sees release on my side of the pond. Looks like it'll be one of those low-key kind of films.
Goodbye
Legend. RIP Harry
Ian Holm is next, it goes Kane->Brett->Ash->Parker->Lambert->Dallas->Ripley.
Which makes sense irl because Ian Holm is the oldest living cast member. Not sure how the others are holding up though!
Don't mean to sound so morbid, I hope no one dies!
RIP to a great actor.
As for the morbid "They're dying in sequence!" thing, Bolaji Bodejo did a combo breaker on that years ago.
This is sad news, but at 91 and with hundreds of films under his belt, he had quite an innings. He's certainly left us with a legacy of some iconic movies.

As did Helen Horton and Eddie Powell.
Sad to hear another legendary actor has passed. :(
