I was just looking through the Xtreme Desktop and noticed a few new ‘hidden’ pictures that we’ve not seen before and the scene with the predator wrestling with the alien has also been extended a little:

“When in the Wallpaper of the week section, use the tab button to highlight the squares that are around the only wallpaper in that section. To know which squares carry a hidden wallpaper, highlight the square and press the “up” arrow once. If the cursor highlights the inside border of the square and you hear a noise and see a flash in the “X”, then that square carries a hidden wallpaper.

I will make it easy. On the top row of wallpapers,If the wallpaper with the white backround and the alien facing the pred (final poster) is wallpaper is square 1, square 2 and 3 carry a hidden wallpaper. On the bottom row, squares 1,2 and 3 carry a hidden wall paper.”

Below you’ll find screenshots from an extended scene with the predator wrestling with an alien. The only new part is that you see the back of the predator’s head. Thanks to Corpral Hicks for pointing this out.

Hmmm... The 4th shot with the 2 preds standing side by side, one of the preds has an eye visor all the way across his mask. All the other preds we have seen have simple slots for each eyeball. COoL!~

Hey guys, it appears that Anderson has replaced the "Fish Gill" Pred with this new fella in the 4th pic from the top. This is awesome, now we know 4 of the Preds in all, 'Scar', 'Celtic', this new fella whose mask looks eerily similar to the Pred 2 mask, "Fish Gill", and the 5th Pred is still unknown. Now we have 4 though, aint that awesome! This movie will rule all, imagine though if Anderson got the same budget that Spiderman 2 had, imagine how much further he could've pushed this, but no, Fox had to be dumb and only give him 70 mil instead of about 270 mil like Spiderman 2 had.

Are those cool pictures located in the Xtreme Desktop we downloaded? Or are they on the internet somewhere??  This movie is gonna kick some serious ass!     8)

Yes, all the above images are found in the Xtreme Desktop. They are 'hidden' and I only found them by accident so I doubt nobody else will discover them. I also have higher resolution versions of these pictures if anybody wants them. Email me.

I was wondering the same thing. I'm at this moment looking all over the XDesktop for these 'hidden' pics but alas, no luck. How on Earth did Darkness just 'notice' them?

I found out how to get them. This may sound confusing. Go into the AvP Wallpapers and into the "AvP Wallpapers" section. Hold down "tab" so you see things being highlighted in yellow. Hold it down until the wall papers start being highlighted. Keep on highlighting until the cursor highlights on the second row of wallpapers starting with the wallpaper of just the predator's mask. Now hit the tab button and you can hear things being highlighted if your desktops sound is on. Even though you dont see things being highlighted, the secret wallpapers are actually being highlighted. Click "Enter" on any of the hidden pics and they will pop up. Sorry if you dont understand, ill try and explain it better later.

An even easier way is going into the "Wallpaper of the week", press tab until the cursor highlights the empty squares, some of them make a sound when highlighting, those squares are the ones with the hidden wallpapers. My prediction is that these wallpapers are the ones that we can download every wednesday or whatever it says. Although we arent actually downloading them but unlocking them since they are already on XD.

Honestly man I dont have a clue how to save them. Guess you will have to ask Darkness that since we know how to acess the wallpapers now.

Well done Jack244. I found them a different way but well done for finding them. I've posted a 1024x768 version of the second and fourth picture. Click the relevant picture to view them You need special software to retrieve the pictures from the xtreme desktop. And I won't be doing anymore because those two have taken me ages to get.

YES! First try and I got the Alien and Predator Mural picture as my desktop! Awesome!

I dont know if any of you realize this to but every pred has the exact same armor except scar, he has that stomach guard thing but other that that they all have the same stuff wich is pretty dumb if you ask me.They should have made different armor too, not just different helmets to tell them apart.That one pred with the pred 2 ish helmet looks cool though but celtic still looks the best.Its to bad my computer isnt to suped up because this desktop thing looks amazing but it freezes my shilt when i install it    :-\     >:D   booooooo.Cool pictures though

Isnt there another pred that has the normal helmet like scar in this , i mean in the 1 and 3 pics above that pred has no lightning bolt scar on his helmet like scar does so what the ?

Who here has submitted a question to Paul Anderson? I was gonna ask about the rating but I figured there'd be plenty of other people asking that. So, I asked about why the aliens look too much like the ones out of Alien: Resurrection and not hte original Alien. Hope he answers it.

I only asked whether or not he was going to direct the next avp movie.   To Me that shot was indeed a Predator ship flying by to drop off the Predators.

I submitted a question under my original nick "Froster." I would think they'd have questions up by now. I guess it's taking them some time to either update the Q & A or they just haven't gotten enough questions yet.

Or maybe because this XDesktop thing is new, it'll be updated next Monday night.  My nickname was "Event Horizon."

r u makin sure to press tab. if you are then a yellow highlight should pop up somewhere around the screen. then use the arrow keys to move it towards the wallpaper pics.

When is this chat with Paul"The Man"Anderson?? I wouldn't mind getting in on some of this Q/A session and I'd probably ask what he feels about the fanbase shitting on him everytime this movie is mentioned and his past credits being brought up constantly to refelct that??? Whether or not he's phased in the least or basically, is he just like "f**k them and I'll make it the way I want and if they don't like it, don't see it" type of attitude?? I mean, someone has to ask and I'm tired of having to defend this guy at shit sites like IGN or Rotten Tomatoes and to everyone who's on this kick of: "This sucks", "that sucks", "this looks like crap and whatnot and because it's made by Paul Anderson, that must mean it sucks" and it's very discouraging after while folks.. By the way, the pics up above look fantastic and perhaps FOX should take a look at these and market this better... Be nice to see a TV spot once in awhile you know, especially since it opens in 30 days.. I mean, goddamn, do they want this film to fail or what???

If anyone hasn't noticed yet, I'm pretty sure the Fish Gill Predator IS that one with the cyclops-visor. He's seen in the trailer many times, but the cyclops-visor part of his mask is evident when the Alien is sneaking up behind him ("they're using us as bait") and another part where he turns around and is holding some type of staff. I'm suprised a lot of people haven't noticed that. This mask was also seen on the website too.

Also, in one of the featurettes you see a guy working on a Predator mask, and the mask has these gizmos and inner-workings on both sides. That mask can be seen being worn by the Predator ontop of the pyramid when he holds his staff up (before the explosion) you can see the shadowy outlines because of the lighting.  What's also strange, is the mask that is attached to the Elder action figure's arm, has this SAME EXACT DESIGN on both sides. The only thing missing on the action figure's helmet is the middle part that would cover the mandibles. I wonder if this Elder is the one seen in the concept art who's holding up the Alien head (if this is in the movie.)

that second picture is absolutely nasty  cant frekin wait  just noticed, in the second picture, the pred has verticle slits, not horizontal ones like the Gill Predator has, if this second one is in the movie, its obviously another pred and is the 4th one.  that leaves just one more unknown
