Halloween III Season of the witch]

Well, got around to watching this and It wasn't as bad as I remember it to be.  I enjoyed this time.  However, that blasted Silver Shamrock Jingle does get annoying  :D

Glad you enjoyed it this time. It's such an 80s Horror film (in a good way to me). And be careful, that Silver Shamrock song can get stuck in your head!

You can't beat a good 80s horror film especially with Tom Atkins in it :) I think the main reason for avoiding watching the film was due to the fact it's called 'Halloween III' and not part of the Michael Myers sequels.  With that, I couldn't enjoy the film back in the day.  I know I'm weird.  However, looking past that it's actually a good film.

Yes, that blasted jingle!

Halloween 6 - The curse of Micheal Myers [The Producers Cut]

I had to watch my original bootleg copy of this version even though there has been an official release on blu-ray.  Sadly, Scream Factory don't release titles in the UK.  This is a far superior version than the butchered theatrical release.

Other than the origianl Carpenter classic, of course, Halloween III: Season of the Witch is the best of the franchise.

I really wish it was just a full blown anthology post-III, as originally intended.

I'm actually an unabashed big fan of "Halloween III: Season of the Witch" and in some ways wish they fully transformed into an anthology film series.
Halloween III is really good. One of this things I enjoyed about HK is it's reference to SotW.

Shout Factory filmed a great documentary for SotW. I highly recommend seeking out their Blu if you haven't already!  :)
I have it, and the H2 SE as well. Had to get them imported, and get a multi region blu ray player, but I got em!

May I suggest getting a PS3 and modding it? Multi region blu ray made easy. You can even get a media remote.

Huh. I'll have to make it a point to check this out then.

Have you never seen the Producers Cut of Halloween 6? It was only available on bootleg for years.  They did a lot of reshoots, etc for the theatrical version which is very poor indeed.  The Producers Cut has a better ending than the Theatrical as well.

I didn't know you could mod a PS3 to play imported blu rays.  I knew you could mod them to play import games but blu rays.  That would deffinetly be a cheapr option as multi region blu ray players aren't cheap.  Thanks.

The Matrix Reloaded

"It's about choice? Don't you get it? Here, let's have like 17 scenes with characters not shutting up about choice or causality so you'll be sure to get it."

Cool action, though.

The movie absolutely didn't disappoint! The visuals and set design are amazing, this guy knows how to set an atmosphere. I did feel the last 30min were hit and miss and I was hoping to get more of the Harkonnens....

The trailer for that has given me precisely zero interest in it. I'd expect them to at least try and hide what a total retread of the first film it is, but no, just about every scene looks to be a remake of one we've already seen.

No Time to Die

Finally got to see this. I enjoyed it. Nothing like as good as Casino or Skyfall but comfortably Craig's third best outing. The action was a big step up from SPECTRE (in that it was actually exciting) with the caveat that some of the fight scenes were a little confusingly edited. I enjoyed the slightly darker portrayal of M in this one. Still didn't like Waltz as Blofeld.

Spoiler
As for the two major character deaths, I called both ahead of time, but to be fair I think they both worked.
[close]

My biggest gripe was that the villain was so underwhelming; Malek is a fantastic actor but he really wasn't given much to work with in the part and felt wasted. Also his leap from "revenge against those who wronged me" to "murder everyone" kinda came out of nowhere and wasn't explained or justified at all. And given the fuss that was made over them hiring people like Phoebe Waller-Bridge to rewrite the female characters, I thought the female characters were almost uniformly undercooked. Lashana Lynch as the new 007 was the worst offender - her character was entirely cardboard and forgettable. To make matters worse, Ana de Armas, far and away the most memorable of the three leading ladies, was only in the film for like 10 minutes.

Still, overall I thought it was a solid if middling Bond entry. It was undeniably very "Craig" in style and tone.

Oh yeah, and Billie Eilish's theme song sucked.

I'd easily rate No Time To Die higher than Skyfall even with the issues it has.

Skyfall is just way overrated in my book.

Halloween Kills. I enjoyed it! Even more than Halloween 2018!
