Quote from: Nightmare Asylum on Jun 03, 2023, 10:45:04 AMGateway is actually somewhere I would like to revisit a bit, but not here – it'd make more sense to spend some time at Gateway in the show, given the Earth setting there.

The station we saw in the Alien Day pic for Romulus looks like it's on a planet's surface (a planet in process of being terraformed, if I had to guess), not in orbit around a planet, so I think it's pretty safe to say it isn't Gateway.
Gateway is after Alien, tv show is before.

So would make as much sense as any of it I guess.

Nightmare Asylum

Shhhh, I want to cling to hope that the pre-Alien timeframe for the show isn't accurate.

They'd have no reason to visit the exact same locations shown at Gateway unless they had a reason in the plot to do so. I don't think Gateway would look like the one we know it at any rate.

Just saying, all the scripts say they're boarding a WY ship. It's not like it can't be the ship or a hypothetical Colony either, but it could just be an area at Gateway we've never had a reason to see before. (Why would they have needed to show Ripley at the departure area of Gateway when all the expository building has been done at that point?)

My point is that Gateway shouldn't exist when the TV show takes place.

I thought it was Romulus. Which, granted, while Gateway probably shouldn't be as expansive, it's only 17 years before aliens if we're going with the 40 years later theory.
