So in the right circumstances Kanes "son" may have become a Queen (erm i realise that sounds stupid).

There's an interesting line from Ash in the novelisation of Alien where he theorises the adult Alien may not be the final stage in its life cycle.

Thing is, without the Queen-hugger being seen properly in A3, we know the Queen burster can come from a normal face-hugger. So nothing to stop the one that infected Marlow's lady friend having implanted a Queen and going from there.
