A new trailer for an upcoming Co-Op spinoff of Resident Evil has been revealed. More information will be revealed at the Tokyo Game show starting on September 9th.

I was all over Raccoon City because of the Coop aspect so I'll keep an eye on this. I'm not liking the look of the player characters in this trailer though.

Looks pretty sweet! I love that they seem to be going further with the story. Seems like they will be showing more of Umbrella as well as Jill's internal struggles.
I'm glad that Project Resistance will also be a multiplayer mode for the game- good call there.

These remakes are awesome for people like me who didn't play the first 3. My first RE was Code Veronica, so I never played the games before that. As of today, the titles I played are Code Veronica, RE4, a little of 5 (stopped playing because it departed too much from survival horror), Operation Racoon Titties (garbage), RE2 remake, and RE1 remake. When asked about the decision to remodel the appearance of main character Carlos Oliveira for the remake, Kawada stated that several aspects of Resident Evil 3 have undergone a similar makeover, but stressed that none of these changes have been made without reason.

That is fine simply because RE3 might be the shortest installment in the franchise that wasn't one of the light gun shooters. For today's gamers dropping 59.99 for a 4 hour game is a no go. There would need to be more content.
Just found out that they removed mercenaries mode, replacing it with the Resistance multiplayer. Very upset about that since I loved mercenaries mode when I played RE4. Apparently there wont be any multiple endings either. Didn't know the original had multiple endings.
I remember the endings being the same except for what happened to Nicholai...............but it has been a minute.
Mercenaries on RE3 WAS the best.
RE3 was originally not supposed to be the third game, so Mercenaries added a little beef to what would have been an expansion pack in PC vernacular at the time. Its like a DLC that was meant to be a holdover until the REs on PS2 could come out.
There were two different endings with minor differences. Jill and Carlos either escaped on their own or Barry Burton rescued them.

The teeth are fine, it's his stubby little nose that bothers me.

Ah, I don't know, the rumours sound interesting. If it's first person again, I'm hoping it's also VR as well, like RE7.
Ethan and the first person gameplay are where they lost me, everything else does sound interesting though. I am glad that we are finally hearing something about the next major instalment. Hopefully an official announcement will happen soon!

It was, mostly. There was a little expansion and some slight revision, but it was pretty much the same.
The encounters were way different, the puzzles, etc. The core game is the same but the progression, enemies, placement of triggers etc was different.
It has the same vibe and same general story but I hate knowing before hand where the horror is coming from.
I can see games like this one gain even more popularity because of the current situation out there. Play games in the safety of your home.

In the original Res3 he appeared a few times in the game more or less afew scripted events but for the most part u had time to explore your surroundings. In this remake i just hope he don't constantly hunt you down and becomes a bigger annoying version of MrX from resident evil 2 remake. MrX in res2 on first play through, was not so much annoying, kind of fun when he turned up. But second playthrough, he was a utter twat constantly on your back. I just hope the get the balance right in this new remake. I have to admit that the nemesis looks awsome like.

Lol that would be something crazy if ur in the safe room and nemesis just comes crashing in why you trying to save ur data at a ribbon typewriter. But thinking about that Alien Isolation made the save points unsafe if the Alien spotted you. But resident evil save points especially in the earlier games were a safe haven. That save room music when you went in one was such a relief. I played resident evil 7 in VR and when u found a save room it was such a relief. Anyhow glad to hear nemesis won't smash the door in lol.

It is a little more cohesive than RE2 Remake imo which makes the game flow better. I didn't find myself backtracking for story items in R3make like I did in the second one other than for supplies. Which I appreciate. However, aside from the presentation something seems to be missing from this one that the RE2 remake had. Can't quite put my finger on it.
New Jill is fine, the added enemy types are fine, Carlos is better in this one than the original.
I think it might actually have to do with Nemesis himself.
In the original two games Nemesis was essentially Mr X who could follow you more places and would just abruptly follow you in places you would normally be safe. You could tell that the devs took the Mr X idea and buffed him for Nemesis. MR. X did that already in the RE2 remake.
I think that perhaps, you should've spent more time with Nemesis in Raccoon city streets and buildings, because after that he is a recurring boss fight, but he doesn't have the same continual menace that Mr X had in the RE2 remake nor the Nemesis in the original game. The raccoon city portion felt much longer (I don't know if it was, been too long since I played it, but I remember free ranging Nemesis was around for lots of the game).
Not bad, I think the missed the boat on Nemesis tho and I'm not sure how I feel (again) about all the storyline changes. They didnt make the game worse and you do need changes..........but it isn't what I remember. RE3 was the one I played the most as a kid, it was believable action upgrade to the first two, and not nearly as long to complete, so I played it often. It'd be like if somebody remade Aliens. Doesn't matter how competent it is, it will just take some getting used to.
Felt like more of the same to me, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. But I think it lacks the oompf that the RE2 remake had. It also feels oddly more static in a lot of ways than the original, especially in the city streets. It's hard to really describe but it is definitely missing something, I feel. Fun game though despite all that.
Agreed about the game feeling pretty static as you're running through Raccoon City. It starts out a little too linear.

I don't think they should have had Nemesis bust through her apartment building right off the bat. They needed a slower buildup to him. They also should have had Brad get killed off by him still so that we could actually see Nemesis take out a S.T.A.R.S. member.
At times it felt like they were just checking off boxes to say that they included certain things, like Dario hiding in the truck and even Marvin felt like a bit of an Easter egg than anything else.
Other than that, the gameplay is great and I loved how they've developed Jill and Carlos. I know I didn't really care for Carlos in the original game but they really made him a charming character in the remake and now I'm on board with the Jill and Carlos shippers. :laugh:
I've noticed that a lot of fans who loved the original haven't been as pleased with all the changes but I'd give the game a solid 8/10 (I'd say REmake 2 is a 9.5/10 for reference). The beginning of the game was lacking but the second half of the game, where you've reached the hospital, is a blast.
This was a real disappointment. Can't believe I put down £50 for it.

I give RE2 remake an 8/10 and Nemesis Remake a 7/10.
RE2 Remake's one campaign is awesome, but I know that the original had three more fully fleshed out campaigns depending on if you played claire or leon first. This keeps it from being a perfect 10. The original RE2 was LOADED with content. It was ridiculous. My preteen self knows this, and I cannot forgive the Remake team for at least not giving us a full Leon and Claire campaign at least. Instead of one full campaign and whatever bullshit half campaign the second story was.
Nemesis missed the boat with Nemesis. He really needed to be around more. Not to the extent of Mr X maybe, but as it stands Mr X felt more Nemesis-y than Nemesis did. I will have to play RE3 original again, but I could have sworn the intro in Raccoon was way longer with him constantly lurking around. I also liked the dynamic with the UBCS better in the original. They covered it a little in the R3Make but discovering the UBCS was a little like finding out about STARS again in the first game.
They did a better job with the bestiary in this game, certainly better than RE2 remake, but RE3 was like Doom Eternal with all the things after you. NO GRAVEDIGGER.
It wasn't bad, it just wasn't as good as it could have been.
They should push the pause button on RE and go with Dino Crisis. Still survival horror, but not RE burnout.

They made a rushed DLC for the previous game, called it "RE3" and slapped an online piece of crap nobody asked for just to charge full price.
Missing content everywhere and short runtime.
I cannot believe people are giving money to capcom for this scam, this is a 20$ game tops, people need to stop supporting companies when they do this.
RE2 also had missing content like enemies and lack of B scenarios but game was good enough on its own.
This is a cynical, unfinished product, i was really looking forward to it since the original is a pretty good game and one of the best RE.
I hope they dont ever make Dino Crisis if they are gonna do it like this, in a lazy way.

Nobody knows. They only know that Delta was one of the few special operations units in the past to utilize women. I believe it was called the funny platoon back in the day.
I will only say there weren't any women like Julia Voth in my engineer or field artillery battalions.

I enjoyed it. Played 3 times through on PS4, but I'm tempted to buy it on PC for the mods. They've already added classic Jill costume, classic nemesis head, a randomised item mechanic, and extended the map connections, so it allows more open investigation.
