The sloughing skin effect worked on Alien 3. Clearly, not so much here.

Also, whatever happened to Aliens being slim?

Hm, shitty design yes, but this pic isn't bad, considering.

Considering what?  It shows off how utterly f**ktarded the design in all it's glory.  I knew the heads in AvP:Poo were garbage, but this eloquently shows how godawful the arms and legs are as well.

Might as well be captioned 'AM ON UR DESK; LEAVIN DEPOSITZ IN UR IN-TRAYZ'.

Considering how bad the design is, I like the pose. I dunno, I just think the pic isn't bad.

That almost looks like a video game screenshot. It almost looks cool but the Alien itself is too unalien like. It was a nice try. Too bad we couldn't see the sloughing skin in the movie.

Well to be fair it looks like ADI have just covered the suit in glue and tried to stretch it out. And those days ended when Tom finished A3 and started taking weed and as such gave in to his munchies and got fat. Plus the constant effect of weed on his brain effected his creative abilities.

They used the same technique - Liquid latex over the suit, rub it a little as it dries. They did the same thing to the Space Jockey in Alien for that old-timey decaying look.
