Not sure if these are entirely made up from some guys point of view, but Im sure an arguement can be had about solar flares messing up equipment.. I dont think there is mention of that. considering that a solar flare EM  disturbance could erase tapes of analogue nature quite easily. But it still a cool read coming from Space.com (i like this site).
