Today I bring you a double dose of Perry-goodness and by that I mean Steve and Stephani Perry, the novel authors. Stephen Youll has just update his website with the covers of Steves upcoming novel Predator Turnabout and the previously unnannounced Aliens novel by Stephani, Criminal Enterprise:

Stephen uses the latest designs. As soon as we get more of Wolf, we'll be seeing a better Pred.

Latest designs? It still looks like it's from the first AvP so this picture doesn't surprise me. But it looks good with the original face but the dreadlocks are too long.

I know it looks like it's from AvP...that's because it's the latest design.    :P   But Stephen did a really good job modifying it with the face.

First Alien or Predator novel, yes.    :D  

I did an interview with Steve Perry the other day, it was fun, he said he as just recently just turned in the finished story of Predator Turnabout, and is waiting to see how this does before considering other alien and predator projects   :P

yep, a long time ago. i actually found my copy of female war just now, it randomly surfaced among some other old stuff i put by my desk. tried to find prey but no dice.

I'm really disappionted with the Aliens: Criminal Enterprise cover. The Alien really does look like sh*t...

Nice covers. They both look really cool. I'm starting to like the Pred one a little better. But they both are really cool. PredKing87 (which is almost my name) I don't think the Wolf could carry out the Queen's head. It sounds cool but her head and crest are about the size of the Pred.

There has been times in games and books to where the predator does carry the queens head out.. Depends on her size i would imagine..I doubt it would happen but its a thought..I cant wait for the Predator to fuk the aliens up..Couple more days to the trailer..

I don't think a Predator could even reach the Queen's neck, never mind kill one without getting severely injured, if not just killed in the process.  These covers are really great. The Predator one's wonderful, although the Alien book seems to have the creature oddly positioned.

  ???   It wouldnt be a problem for a predator to kill a queen reguardless of her size..The AVP predator threw his disk and cut her throat bad or he could blow her head off..Reguardless of how he does it, he most likely could..The queen is a bad bitch but the predator is most likely to win with his gadgets and what not..Especially an elder predator..A queen would be nothing to kill..

If it shoots the head, there's not going to be much of a trophy to even take.  I'm not sure why everyone seems to think an elder would be in some way stronger. It has earnt respect, but could probably be outclassed by a younger, more athletic individual.

Doubt it then what would be the point of being an elder..Basically they been there and done that..No young blood or what not would really have a chance, thats why there called elders..And yea if they shot her head it would probably blow up lol..

That's like asking what's the point of being an elder in our society. A young, reasonably fit Viking would probably have been able to kick an elder village leader's rear into the dirt, but the latter had earnt the privelage and respect of those they led.  They're called elders because they're old. Being old doesn't make you more fit. It means you start getting medical problems, every so often. :)

Yes, they do age like any other creature. Look at the leader in 'Predator 2'. It's old, its colour has faded. It's making the least amount of movement possible. Perhaps it even suffers from arthritus (no, humans aren't the only creature to suffer from that - many animals do).  It even has ot be flanked by a massive protective escort. If it was so superior to anything else in existence, it would only need one or two, if even that.  Elders are revered because of what they have achieved or how they have led others among them. Being in peak physical condition in a completely different thing.  PredKing87 and HuntersMoon, there is nothing to "read up" on them. The most amount of information we've ever had is a couple of appearances, both lasting for only a few seconds. In both instances, each of them simply stood there. No great feats of strength were in any way shown. They didn't even look the same, either in physical appearance, weapons choice or clothing style.

If you're basing all of your facts on the novels and comics, then you should realise by now that most of us dont' accept that as canon. It's pretty much worthless and the most amusing contradictions have come in the most recent books.  You're basing all your assumptions on the books, when you should look at what was shown on screen - which is very little.  No, the new portrayals won't be like the books. Even the directors stated that they don't consider those or the games or comics as in any way authentic canon.  AlienFan07, two of them got killed in quick succession because those Predators acted stupidly, just like anything else can get killed for that reason. If one had bothered immediately trying to kill it, instead of slowly posturing when it had the thing trapped in the neck, it could have lived.

By the way, a true warrior is one who knows the value of strategic retreat. Those who go in situations, all guns blazing, no matter what the species, would tend to have very short lives.

No the predators got killed because ANDERSON likes aliens obveously there is no doubt about that. Most movies are based on books and what not..Predator was a comic b4 anything and everything theyve shown in the comic books Is coming to screen so that dont make alot of sense..For instance weapons of the comics are showing up on screen for the pred..So gone head and Tell Yourself that aliens are better, you will be very Disappointed if you believe there gonna win in AVP 2..Like he said u need help

WTF? The comics only came out in the 1990s. How can you say the comics came out first? They were based on the motion picture property.  I don't know whether Anderson said anything about different clans. Even if he did, it's just his own personal opinion and not canon. We don't even have any information on the screen to show that the creatures operate on the basis of 'clans', families, military groups or something completely different nobody has even guessed.  Now, stop putting words in my mouth. Where do you get the idea I'll somehow be choked up and sad if Aliens are killed? Just because you virtually confessed to feeling that way about the Predators dying (and want some sort of immature revenge, even though a lone Predator incinerated hte entire nest and neutralised the Queen), that's no reson to presume others feel the same way.  I won't care if Aliens are killed. I expect them to be. What matters is whether it's shown as easy to do at close range.  If it is, you can bet this film will not be liked by the majority of people. Why? Because the whole concept is based upon these battles being a clash of the titans, not easy for one or the other of them.  If you want to continue believing the comics and worshipping them as gods, you're welcome ot it. The rest of us will be more pragmatic. :)

The only people 'hating' are you two. We're simply saying that there would be no point in making this film if the Predator can simply walk through it being invincible.  The only people that would appeal to are a (rather foolish) minority. It would piss off the majority of its fans (who happen to be fans of both franchises) and the casual viewers.  It would make zero financial sense for them to produce a film like that.

We know the Pred is going to win because the Strausses are Pred fanboys like yourself who are going to manipulate each fight scene so that The Wolf is the winner each time.  It doesn't matter though, since most people agree that the Alien series is far better.  Alien and Aliens are both on IMDB's Top 250.  No Pred films at all.

I find it very amusing that the Predator fanboys can't refrain from permanently using the Caps Lock key. It makes them look quite rabid. :)  Guys, you need to understand, nobody else gives a danm about it in the way you're masturbating over. You've already made tons of wrongful presumptions and made yourselves seem rather foolish by claiming the 'Predator' franchise was based on comics which were made several years after the films.  The rest of us won't cry about the film if the Predator is glorified to the exception of all else. We'll just mostly agree that it was a crappy excuse in Predator hero-worshipping.  For the last time, the whole point of making an '<i>Aliens Versus Predator</i>' film is to portray a huge clash of the titans, not one species wiping out the other with ease.  And no, Aliens didn't do that. One Predator was killed because it was busy with a human and the other died because it wasted time posturing. You're all out for some immature 'revenge', when you can't even see a single Predator already wiped out a whole nest. You've already got what you wanted to see.

Your ranting is highly amusing, as you keep resorting to personal attacks and claims that the comics are canon, instead of looking at what was on the screen.  Even the director of this film stated that the only information they regard as canon are the films.  The responses so far remind me of www.realultimatepower.net - in so many ways. :)

Is it just me or does the guy in the Alien cover look like Gil Grissom from CSI Las Vegas back when he had a beard. Only with alot more muscle and stuff   :P

Jesus christ the predator "fans" here are completly insane... They act like this is some real life war between angry fans who flip out everytime "their" creature is killed. I personally prefer Alien, the film series was better and i prefer the "monster", now wait, don't flip out on me just yet. I also love predator, however some of you "predator fans" are really immature. The thing is, us Alien fans wont give two shits if an alien dies. If we did, we wouldn't have watched Aliens would we? Remember the scene where the turrets slaughter tons of aliens?
