Alien: Earth Queen?

Does anyone think we will see a xenomorph queen in the series? Do you think it's a good idea or has the concept been overused? Personally I think it would be cool but I might prefer them going for something new.

If an apprearance of a Queen serves the story, then yes.

If it doesn't, then no.

Appearing for the sake of appearing would be the worst decision. Especially for a... Very budget-conscious television production.

Part of me kind of wishes HBO picked up this show. Oh well.

I'm hoping we do see a Queen again, and this time portrayed properly.

Her job is to basically just sit there and shit out eggs. Not be a giant space dinosaur(as someone else here put it, heh) that can run a marathon after the protagonists. As we saw in Aliens, A Queens legs were basically atrophying/becoming vestigial. Her weird walking stance was because of that. Imagine sitting in a single spot for a month doing nothing but crapping out babies and then trying to walk. You wouldn't be making a mad dash anytime soon 

I don't think the legs were atrophied.

these beings are quite capable of
to stay in certain positions for a long time and still be ready to kick ass hard.

the Queen's gait in Aliens was because of the puppeteers

absolutely. I didn't mean that I think it's bad either. it should just be a possible reason why it looks like that.
That being said, it might have been the desired result.

Also the way the Queen moved was designed to evoke a black widow spider, it moved like that on purpose.

Yeah, they could really delve into the transformations of an Alien to its caste system. I'd be interested in exploring that.
