It would f**k with the continuity of the shows. I'd rather have Jay Garrick appear in comic book form and have THAT be why Barry calls himself the Flash. Since he's such a super geek about comics it would make sense of him to do this.

The Flash shouldn't be a TV series. It should be a movie written and directed by Edgar Wright. Period.

The original draft was soooooo much better than what ended up on screen. Which is to say, it wasn't a brown stain.

I read a little bit of the draft. it was basically the same, just with a different monster.

That's the thing... The overall plot is very similar. But the execution, the character moments, the motivations, the resolutions, all very different.
