Maybe I missed it, but did Crusade fall through the cracks? Marvel was doing great at not missing content at the start.
Crusade's in Volume 2.
At first glance, the only thing they've missed from these collections is the Operation: Aliens trading card comic Den Beauvais did for the Aliens/Predator Universe set. It's a bit of a shame because the art's excellent, but it is rather obscure (and technically part of an AVP card set) so it's perhaps not a surprise. Otherwise they're really quite comprehensive, I'm impressed.
It's a shame that they couldn't uncover Matrix.
That's assuming, like the last two parts of Crusade, it was every actually done.
I just saw volume 3 posted up on Amazon for preorder. Link and product description below.

I bought Vol 1 and have Vol 2 preordered. its kind of amazing so many lost books Id spent years trawling for are now being packaged in all these convenient collections.
Yeah, it's something I've said several times - the controversy over volume one's cover aside, I feel like marvel have smashed it with these collections.
Anyone on the UK got Predator: The Original Years Omnibus Vol. 1 yet? Amazon said released 3rd Aug 2021 and I had it on pre-order since Feb, but no sign of it and the site says temporarily out of stock which seems odd
Canadian websites have the Predator omni coming out May 31 2022 now. I'm guessing the lawsuit is to blame.

I think it got delayed but I'm not sure how far back they pushed it out...
I've begun reading my Vol. 1 omnibus, it's nice to read the original Verheiden run in colour this time. I hope it stays consistent in keeping the characters named Hicks and Newt, not that Billie and Wilks bother me, I just prefer the consistency.

I ended up getting stuck with the Land cover unfortunately. Bleh, but doesn't matter, the interiors are gorgeous.

If I remember rightly, Dark Horse's recent soft cover re-issue also had the coloured version with the original names.

Nice! I have the OG Dark Horse omnibus paperbacks too. It just so happens I never got around to re-reading it all until now.
I was hoping that the releases of these new omnibuses might lead people to offload their old Dark Horse omnibuses (the small compact versions) however that doesn't seem to be the case.
I got Vol 1 of the Dark Horse series a couple of years back. It must have just have been at the tail end them going out of print, as I've struggled to get the rest of them since. I know it's weird but as I started that series I kind of wanted to continue with it.
Guess i should just bite the bullet and save the pennies for these new ones and they seem pretty cool and comprehensive.

I have all the DH Omnibuses but I will probably replace them all eventually.
Apart from looking ugly and small, they break apart easily.
They are also missing some essential comics but so will other collected releases.

Yeah they are small which isn't the best way to take in a visual medium like comics. Having said that the compact size could be a plus for some who may lack shelf space!
The new ones aren't cheap but I guess I'd have spent about the same amount if I try to complete the dark horse set, seeing as we're now talking second hand prices. You're probably right that these new ones are now the ones to go for
They're not cheap, but I did the maths a while ago, and you're generally paying less than the going rate of all the individual stories inside it.
Plus some, like the Kenner comics and Countdown, will prove really hard to track down outside these new collections.

I plan on offloading mine, but only when I have all the stories in the Dark Horse ones within the new collections.
I'll also probably offload mine.
I'll offload all my trades. I have a hardcover collection with Salvation and two other stories that has an awesome Mike Mignola drawn cover I'll keep though.
Looks like this was pushed back again to July 19th 2022.

I was really happy the jncluded stuff like the figure mini comics. I would love it if they also did the operation aliens trading cards as you said, i never managed to complete mine

As far as I can tell, that's about the only thing they've missed with these. Maybe because it was technically in an AVP card set they might be holding it back for the eventual AVP collection(s).

I hope they do avp
I'd be very surprised if they don't, but I assume they're getting Alien and Predator out of the way individually first.

I'm equal parts annoyed, equally relieved, there's like 5 omnis I was wanting to get in April and March, so one of them bumping to July helps my wallet out.
I wouldn't mind buying these omnibus' but man, they are sure damn expensive. Always wished I got to complete my original DH omnibus volumes too (missing number 4 & 5).
They're worth it. Ultimately it's cheaper than getting them individually, and that was when you could find the individuals at a reasonable price.

Honestly, I feel like I wasted my money on Volume one. Volume 2 had much better stories and art so I enjoyed that one. And I have reservations about this Volume 3.

They're releasing these in paperback Epic Collections as well. It will take two or 3 volumes to collect each omnibus and it works out to about the same price but you can spread that cost out over a longer period of time. Epic Collections have a tendency to go out of print fast though, so of you do go that route don't wait too long to get them.
Ordered this from my local book store and it should be here before Christmas. I haven't read anything from the late 90's era, to the point I was actually shocked to learn Eduardo Risso drew the Resurrection adaptation as one of his earliest gigs.

If you shop around you can find online stores that sell these omnibus for a lot cheaper. I got volume 1, about a year after release, with the Nelson cover for $75 brand new. Then I got volume 2, also the alternate cover and brand new, for $43 (that's not a typo; it really was about 65% off). I just bought volume 3, brand new alternate cover, two days ago for about $77.
When they release volume 4, that should finish collecting all of the dark horse comics. But being honest, I wish they'd keep going with a volume 5 and collect the alternate versions of these comics too, like the original black and white versions of all of the comics that were eventually colorized, and the Wilks/Billie remastered comics.

Thanks man. May I ask what sites you use?
This one has them for $75 pretty consistently. Plus shipping adds another $5, but it's still one of the better deals I've seen around...

Looks like you can pre-order the first volume of the "epic collection" here for about $24 too.
Mine arrived just before Christmas. They really are impressive collections and each one has had at least one first time reading for me.
Looking forward to the Predator omnibus.

I picked mine up just before Christmas! They are brilliant looking volumes!
I've gone with the DM covers for all of them so far including Predator but going with the Dead Orbit one for Vol. 4. Always liked that piece of art.
I've only had the DM cover for Volume 1. I've actually quite liked the new artwork for both 2 and 3 so far.
Any idea how limited these things are gonna be? I don't really wanna splurge on volume 3 right now, but I notice volume 2's already showing as out of stock on UK Amazon and I don't wanna miss out.
Anyone able to say whether these sort of things are normally quite limited runs with Marvel?

Not sure...
But something I've noticed with volume 3 and the predator volume that just came out is that the smaller online stores have started posting "special order only" next to the DM covers. So I suspect they (marvel) are printing fewer of them now than they did with aliens volume 1 and 2.
So there's a non-zero chance I got really drunk on new year's eve and ordered Aliens 3 and 4 and the first Predator collection  Oops.

I can just imagine you angrily smashing that keyboard, yelling "That's right, I wanna make that bloody order !!!"
I was weighing the difference between spending the money and having to cut back on other things vs. possibly missing out on them when I've already got the first two Aliens books. (Add to which I've been privately telling myself for years that I'd only start collecting the comics if someone did convenient, properly comprehensive collections of everything, and these are those.) In the end I decided I'd be pissed off if I didn't have them.
Probably didn't need to order all three in one go, but that's alcohol for you. Don't drink and online shop, kids!
Does anybody have any insight on if Marvel will be keeping these collections in print or what the plan is? It seems like Volume 2 might be OOP and they have a paperback collection due out at the end of the month that just collects the the first few Dark Horse stories with Hicks and Newt.
@Corporal Hicks any ideas? Sorry to tag if not cool.
I'm afraid I don't know. Seems to be going oop pretty quickly.
