For Yautja888:

The storyboards you're sharing are great. Where and how did you acquire them?

Last year I purchased a Holy Grail for me, over 300 pages of Predator 2 material from someone who worked with Peter Levy the Director of Photography. A couple shooting scripts. All the storyboards, beginning to end, including revised boards. Shooting schedule. Even all the home addresses and telephone numbers of people like the Thomas Brothers and director Stephen Hopkins down to the hair stylists. My wallet took a major hit as you can imagine.  ;)

Very cool! I find it fascinating to see those pieces of the project and how the end product looks. Thank you so much for sharing!

So, you're able to harass the Thomas Brothers into making a proper Predator 3 sequel script to Predator 2 and Predator?!

If their home phone numbers and addresses from 1990 still haven't changed, than technically, I guess I could (but won't of course).

Wouldn't it be cool if lets say Fox released that uncut Nc-17 version of Predator 2 with the deleted scenes that are either a myth or a fact that they have been deleted ages ago.

How does one release scenes that are myths? Real deleted scenes I understand.  Are you suggesting getting a new film crew to create those scenes and insert them into the film?

QuoteNow what if there was a 2nd version of Predator 2 that showed us the scenes of Predator killing the columbians (if that was actually filmed, also I heard someone on the dedicated Predator 2 NC17 version blog website say they saw a uncut version of Predator 2 in Australia and saw the scene of the Pred actually killing the columbians).

Memory is a funny thing I guess. But the script's third draft was greenlit as the film's shooting script and those Columbian killings were not scripted, nor did any script revisions script it during filming. Those initial kills are propetly left in mystery. Showing those Columbians get killed followed by an investigation of those kills would just be counterproductive to the mood & mystery they were trying to accomplish. These storyboards are where it ends:

It's like some people believing King Willie's beheading death was filmed, which would be counterproductive to the screaming head trick planned and executed from the shooting script.

QuoteAlso I mentioned in the beginning the suppose deleted scenes we don't know exactly what they were and if there was scenes featuring more predator action (like city hunter killing the columbians and the scene being shown). Thats what I mean we don't know what scenes are a myth or what is fact.

the scene were predator walks into the taxidermist shop and follows harrigan and picks up a lion skull to admire it was debunked by the Thomas brothers.  if you look on the internet a lot of websites say that the scene was actually filmed. there you go.

Actually, I think it was a misinterpretation of the Thomas Bros commentary that started it, and spread from there. That's why I have been trying very hard to dispel accidental misinformation that hits blogs and fan wikis. I created a Thomas commentary transcript referring to the taxidermy shop, captured the audio of the commentary and put it on YouTube, highlighted that they said it was written and discarded versus filmed and discarded, and shown that the scene wasn't even there in the third draft / shooting script.

QuoteUltimately would you guys be on board for something like this? the mystery killings version and the all out badass hardcore version (pun intended to Tony pope)

To me: Basically more gore doesn't excite me, nor does an unauthorized new cut. But I would like some deleted scenes as extras though, like Danny's funeral for instance. I've been wishing that stuff was released as a home video supplemental for years. :)

Heres were I am getting at. I think it would be cool to have 2 versions of Predator 2. The theatrical version that  didn't show how Predator killed all of his enemies, some of them but not all of them. Danny, Jerry, the columbians, king willy are not shown. You can call the theatrical version the mystery version because of those kills I mentioned are not shown. The whole time in the movie Predator is a mystery to Harrigan because he doesn't know who or what he is and also Harrigan does not know how this thing is killing these guys. The theatrical version would be the mystery version were us as viewers see the film and we join Harrigan in the ride as the viewers and Harrigan don't know how Predator killed those guys. Some people like the movies more mysterious and not every movie needs a explanation scene or a answer. Nobody really needed to know what the space jockeys from Alien were. Sometimes mystery is very cool because it keeps you guessing the whole time. "I wonder how Predator killed him and him"

the 2nd version would be the all out hardcore version. all the mystery is gone now. all the scenes that were deleted of predator killing the columbians and jerry and Danny and king willy are back and the viewers are just in for a crazy roller coaster ride.

I personally love the sound of both versions and I honestly would love the ideal to have a option to choose. I would still binge watch both versions.

What do you guys think about this ideal?
