Yeah, and it looks like a butt!  :D

Bonus Situation

Quick question, may have already been discussed:

At 1:38 one of the female crew member is running from something - sounds and looks like lots of little...things? Am I totally wrong? Does any one know a bit more / have any other ideas as to whats going on?

Cheers

I think that's just the glass exploding as the creature breaks through.

Ah, I think you're right. Silly me.

I'm guessing that's the back buster?

The goo is still a lame movie gimmick.

Like zombies.
Cheap movie makeup

Or making the Cylons look human.  Cheap and all for "easy reader" story telling.

The mystery is totally lost now.

Maybe so but I can almost see it being a real weapon of mass destruction and that is where Ridley is coming from with it. It could also be something more innate to the universe itself or even sentient. However there is no "science fiction" reason  to dismiss it as a gimmick. That's like calling "kill it with fire" a lame movie gimmick. Also you can't fault zombies for being nothing more than people it make-up... not every movie needs a gigantic malfunctioning fake shark.

Guy in suit work very well.

I was hoping WY was the ones that were trying to turn a sentient docile being into a weapon.

I think it looks closer to the alien 3 and resurrection ones but i like it.

I hope the rifles sound like pulse rifles.
That would add 10$ mill to the box office.

No no no, not resurection, at all. The headshape is that of the original, or aliens too (since it was the same mold), the penis shaped back of the head is finally back since Alien 3 as oppose to the pointy spoon end that the aliens had since Resurrection. LOVE IT The ribs also are closer to the original rather than the more human like ribs the alien had from the Runner up

edit: its also the first alien since Aliens that has the two-bulged shape of the head, if you look from the top. The original, and Aliens (since theyre the same mold) aliens didnt have a single oblong shape of the head, it was as if the skull area connected to the oblong shape, almost as if theyre two separate pieces. All the aliens from Alien 3 had just one unbroken shape

why are there no animals? Already this film makes no sense...

lol.

why are there no animals in prometheus? makes no sense.....similar to the rest of the movies.

i'm curious on why there would need to be animals to make sense to an alien movie. i dont think the presense of animals makes any single difference,
but i'd like to know why that would make a movie make sense or not though

i dont really think this franchise should house a variety of animals, really, as inevitably that means we are going to supposedly see alien animals,
and that's where it goes wrong fast. i would hate to see the franchise get destroyed by corny lame-ass alien animals that make no sense, like the star wars universe and the star trek universe especially since abrams stepped in.
worse, you'll get 'predators' creatures in it.

please, let alien animals out of the picture, if you'd ask me.

edit reason: perhaps looked hostile, wasnt meant to.also expanded my point.

Because this planet is, or at least was, a lot more like earth. However, the animals were probably killed by the the black goo or whatever killed the engineers too.
