My copies arrived today.

I would really like the original pitch finished and published.

Finally picked up the TPB today. I would love to see the original pitch turned into a full blown series. Using Wey-Yu mercs to "contain" outbreaks seems more plausible than having colonial marines constantly encountering the creatures. Still love the story we got though!

Just bought it today, will start reading it soon.

Edit: punched through it in one sitting: great comic. Contrary to many I prefer the more claustrophobic experience over the Colonial Marine experience which we've got plenty of and most of them missed the mark IMO by simply repeating what Aliens did but less subtly structured.

The structure of the comic, going back and forth, helps the story a great deal in terms of tension and drama. Love how Stokoe used the enviroment halfway the story and it is both horror and terror.

Would certainly like to see more comics in this vein.

I think the toing and froing between then and now, really adds to the re-read value.

Xiggz456

Agreed! And Stokoe did a great job of using visual cues conveying a plausible memory trigger for Wassy which further smooths the narrative transition to the past. Really well done comic series. It seems Dark Horse is really upping the caliber on their stories and I hope that trend continues.

Yeah, that was something that I think worked really well too. I think it got a little confusing with the action in the fourth issue but a few re-reads sorted the order of events for me.

Xiggz456

Indeed I've also found re-reads further smooth the present to past transitions. I don't think we've ever seen an Aliens story that jumped between past and present like that (The closest may be Isolation with its data logs backstory) which is yet another reason this story stands out.

Hot diggity damn that was good. This team should work on all future comics.

Spoiler
Were Wassy and Hassan cocooned to be used later as a food source, or was Hassan being Brett-morphed? Wasn't sure since there was no queen laying eggs.

Excellent, it deserves it.

Ultramorph

I need to upgrade from my floppies, so this is cool.

Russ840

Love the new cover. The list of extras sound good as well.

HuDaFuK

For the first time since it came out, I'm glad I never got the existing trade ;D

Corporal Hicks

I can't say I was expecting that but damn if I'm not going to pick that up too!

I wonder if we'll ever see that AvP hard-back.

HuDaFuK

I wonder if this will include any additional bonus stuff, beyond what we got in the softback tpb?
