The Alien series has been enjoying an Alien Day for a good few years now but Predator is still being left out to dry! Unfortunately, Predator doesn't have a number attached to it the way Alien does so there's no obvious date to really push a Predator Day in the same way. If you were to celebrate an Predator Day what date would you prefer?

I love the Predator 2 love 💕 but I think the majority would probably desire a Predator day to be centered around the first film versus the second.

April 7 - The birthdate of the late practical effects wizard Stan Winston, who fathered the final design of the fabulously unique Predator creature!

May 9 - The birthdate of the late, great creature actor Kevin Peter Hall, who played the title creatures in both Predator and Predator 2 and remains the standard bearer in bringing the intergalactic hunter to life!

June 12 - When the original classic 1987 film Predator first opened theatrically to audiences!

September 3 - The date when creators Jim and John Thomas officially authored the first Predator screenplay, formally known as "Hunters".

Avoid dates tied to dates in the films, since they're all but meaningless.  It needs to be something from the film (the first one) that you can make up a date from - like 'May the Fourth Be With You' or 426 becoming April 26.  (Unless there were enough people to give a shit about an AvP Day and you could use October 10).

Struggling to think of anything iconic from Predator that you could extract a date from though...
