No idea, to be honest -- I would love for it to be an Alien based project (be it the series, or a Ridley Scott-helmed film) but my gut tells me that isn't the case. The thing that springs to mind is the potential that maybe Ridley's Merlin project might be back on? Though that was for Disney proper, not 20th Century Studios...
Given his work as a cartoonist, I was initially wondering if maybe he'd been hired to do in-universe artwork (think like, cartoons graffitied onto armor, or ships, or what have you) like how Hatton and Hallett did all of David's in-universe art pieces for Covenant, but the initial article explicitly refers to him as a concept artist so that seems to not be the case.
