Of those listed it would have to be the upgrade Predator. He was nothing but a desperate attempt to outdo not only the classic Predators that we all know and love but also the super Predators as well.

Predalien as a concept is not bad, its just another Alien but from a different host, but the one from Requiem is just crap on so many levels. The life-cycle, its design and its behavior.

^ Neomorph is perfect, the bare, faceless, featureless, animalistic ancestor.

Probably the Upgrade, because it doesn't make sense even conceptually. Like, yes, it's superior because it has bulletproof armor and can turn invisible... just like every other Predator.

EDIT: I also hate the AVPR Predalien with a passion. I can still remember the news that a picture of the Predalien from the new movie had leaked, excitedly clicking the link, and seeing... that. That was the moment I really knew we were in trouble.

Also, I know this is a LEAST favorite thread, but my favorite spin on an older design is the Deacon, because I like to imagine that it's a Xenomorph that's crap at being a xenomorph. Like, it's blood will sting, but nothing beyond first degree burns; It can stick to things, but not solidly enough to climb walls; it's not particularly dangerous, but it will f**k with you psychologically. I view it as a cross between Stripe from Gremlins and Wile. E. Coyote.

He'll steal your wrench and then bite you when you try to take it back, but he's not taking over any colonies.

Holy shit man this is a real tough question but it is most certainly not the neomorph. The super predators suck but they aren't deserving of this title either. The new born is disgusting as shit but it doesn't deserve the title either since that was the entire point of it's existance. The Predalien sure is ghetto and the upgrade is just there to get it's ass handed to himself almost literally by ze humans. Which mean I gotta go with the Predalien. At least The Predator is an animal lover. The Predalien will even shit on it's own species and lets not even start on the child support that bastard owes.

Difficult choice but I give my vote for Upgrade Predator (and predator dogs). With his appearance in the movie, everything went wrong. He is not needed in this film. Useless creature. He is not needed and everything connected with him too. Give us classic predators without all these DNA and upgrading things.

I'd have to go with the PredAlien too. I like the concept very much but I dislike a lot of the designs I've seen for it. In regard's to AvPR's, I especially dislike the tan colour scheme, the dreadlocks and the life cycle.

Predalien is by far the worst.

the predalien is the worst design period. I know there were other factors in its conception but ADI should be ashamed they put that shit on a movie set and dared to call it an alien

Tough one. Definitely agree with the PredAlien.

But when I saw the newborn come out of a perfectly good queen and then decides to kill her, proceeded by following a cloned Ripley as her 'mother'. I had a small moment of thinking back to Alien and Aliens and just thinking to myself, "How in the f*** did we get to this point?" As if the newborn was the antichrist being birthed before our eyes, and the Alien franchise was dead or headed for Armageddon.

It might be my bias for A:R but sorry newborn, you remain my most hated character out of both franchise's.

Would be a tie between the predalien and the upgrade predator.

The predalien just looks wrong. The yellow color, the dreadlocks. I can accept the fleshy design of it, as the other AVP aliens all look more fleshy than biomechanic, so it's consistent. You can no doubt design a great version of the concept , but it's just so off in the movie. At least for me.

Newborn was alright. It fitted with the tone of Resurrection and it was supposed to be an abomination.

I liked the neomorphs in the prequels. They looked like an unfinished work in progress on the way to the real deal. Like tadpoles to a frog.

The super predators where ok i guess. I did not like them very much, but they where not offensive to me. Would have prefered if they toned the face of the berserker down a little bit. I din't like the "superior" predator angle, not sure if it was in the movie at all but it was in one of the scripts for sure. Just have them as a cousin race or a rouge faction.

The upgrade predator is horrible. Its looks like a predator crossed with a inbred ogre. If you really wanted an genetically upgraded predator,  give him better senses, make him faster, give him the ability to regenerate his body, better reflexes...anything but just turning it into an hulking brute.
It's like the first Iron Man movie when Tony Stark fought the bigger Iron Man suit in the end or the Hulk movie when Hulk fought the bigger Hulk in the end or... the list goes on endlessly. Im just not a fan of taking the old thing and just making it bigger. You have so much ways to make it more dangerous than the old thing. Just making it bigger is the laziest one. Also not a fan of the implanted armor, weapons and vision mode contact lenses of the upgrade. The nanotech stuff is just too much Iron Man/Marvel/comic book for my taste.

Oh btw not really a creature in the truest sense of the word, but the worst of all is the predator killer in the current predator movie.

Its hard to pick between the Newborn and the Upgrade. I hate the concept and the design of both. They were among the big issues I had with their movies.

I like the idea of the Predalien, they just complicated things with Chet.

Neos or any other goo things are just boring.

I liked the Berserkers, but the execution could have been better.

Whatever you say about the Newborn, it serves a specific purpose
and doesn't try to recontextualise the entire race.  :laugh:

They should have used the upgrade as just some kind of berserker that gets thrown in to wreak havoc until it gets killed, not the next step in the evolution of the whole species.

Like the uruk berserkers in LotR. They serve their purpose in being killing machines, but are not a superior version of the basic creature.

I'm forgiving to Upgrade, but I'm still not even sure what the neo-morph are.

Are they created by David? Are they results of the black goo releasing onto Paradise? Are they early attempts at Xenomorphs or is this a naturally occurring species? What the Hell even are these things? It also doesn't help that looking for answers in concept art is even more difficult because while they have design similarities to the Deacon these things at one point looked like bipedal Goblin sharks. I get what the Deacon is but the neo-morph should have more to be explained instead of me combing through the internet looking for speculations and director statements that can change on a whim.

Seriously though, somebody just put a translucent Xeno into something so we can have Ridley get it out of his system.

I'm a little mixed on the Super Predators, one-half their design looks pretty cool, not bad work, last half they never lived up to the 'Super' part of their name. They were killed in some of the dumbest ways, and never really felt impressive enough to begin with. Unless you count beating the crap out of some dude who has been malnourished for weeks anything to balk about.

That being said the Predalien was some missed potential.

That's because the Super Predator concept was dropped before filming. As much as I do love Predators, I really wished they'd have only had the one Berserker and not 3 of them. Having the one go through being blown up and slashed up and making it to the end would have been more badass IMHO.

It would have solved some issues I had with the last half of the movie.

I liked the Super Predators - I thought they worked well and it was a surprise to see a different "tribe" vs the classic.

The upgradePredator was horrid, though - as someone said earlier, it really was just a "see, even badder than Super Predators AND classic Predator."

NewBorn runs upgrade close, though.

They're the least unnecessary out of all of the above, since the rest range from acceptable through to offensively stupid, while a clan of slightly larger Predators who are even bigger jerks makes total sense, but their design does absolutely nothing for me, while I can appreciate the others except Chet - but getting a Predalien right seems to be an issue for basically everyone, getting a trio of Predators right has been done a dozen times or more but the movie shits the bed in that regard.

It was The Old One who coined the term "Snailens". I assume it was to combine Snail + Aliens, but only she can truly explain what was in her head at the time.

The difference in streng should be more or less to the one between a Predator and a human. I believe alien's intelligence is also affected by the host. So yeah its smarter too. An Ultramorph would be a genius by alien standards.

Runner? Meaning a quadruped Predalien? I don't think we ever had one like that. They were usually shown to walk more upright than human hosted aliens.
