Seconded. He was great in Event Horizon.

SiL

Sean Pertwee as a ship's engineer but instead of "Right" all he says is "f**k."

I agree, I think he would/could make an excellent Predator movie. I was so gutted because of what happened last year with Dog Soldiers 2: Underdogs that my first thought to cope was to imagine what he'd do with Predator now that the franchise appears to be back on track.

And then he'll die, as often.

Doomsday, wow, not watched that in ages. That was a lot of fun.
The Descent is a personal fave, I probably watch it every year around Halloween, along with The Ritual.
Dog Soldiers I liked but I never revisit it. If I want some Pertwee action, it's Event Horizon all the way.

Wilderness has some of that too.

Just googled that, doesn't seem familiar. But now I've gone down a rabbit hole of naughties movies that I loved and not seen for ages, Deathwatch, The Cave, Frontier(s), Outpost, Centurion(2010, close enough) Outlander.

BigDaddyJohn

Oh god I forgot about Centurion lol.

I'm a bit surprised PWSA didn't put him in AvP.

Now that I had time to process 28 Years a bit more, I would really dig a take from Boyle (and Garland, why not) for an Alien movie.

Nightmare Asylum

Still have to see 28 Years Later, myself (hoping to get there this weekend!), but I've been throwing Garland's name in the ring forever. Especially after Men came out.

Mike’s Monsters

I've wanted a Boyle and Garland ALIEN film since I saw Sunshine in the theaters. That movie could easily fit into the ALIEN universe, and it told me that the two of them could make an amazing film if they had the right idea for a story.

BigDaddyJohn

Some horror elements in Annihilation were great, and can be an indicator of what they could do with the Alien IP.

Nightmare Asylum

AI stuff in Ex Machina and Devs, cosmic horror in Annihilation, sexually charged body horror in Men, and just the general intensity of Civil War.

He'd kill it.
