So I am wondering, if Dutch is back in a KoK sequel, how will that work?

I don't have a position right now whether seeing Dutch back is a good idea or not. I am on the fence on that one. But supposed he does return, what kind of story would work for his character? Get your creative juice going. :)

I could see him hiding on the Predator's planet like Obi-Wan Kenobi is hiding on Tatooine in A New Hope, except Dutch spends his days smoking cigars covered in mud.

Well, if its animated, then he could still be relatively young.
But I kind of like the Expanded Universe tidbits about him, it even mostly aligns in terms of continuity (went off the grid and popped up from time to time to kill a Pred).

Not everyone should be kidnapped who killed a Predator. Also, I would assume some people managed to avoid kidnapping, or escape during/after.

I'd prefer him *not* to be taken and follow the OWLF tapes in Predator Hunting Grounds instead because at least that sounded more plausible. Also fits with him actually aging.

Arnie, despite still doing action in his FUBAR tv series (bless him), is not getting any younger.

It'll have to be in animation.

Fully expecting Dutch to feel closer to how he is in Hunting Grounds.

I wonder if Dutch does appear in a future installment, I wonder if it would take elements from the Hunting Ground and mix with KoK's universe.

How would that work? Well maybe the predators don't collect Dutch immediately after him surviving his clash with the Jungle Hunter. But instead let him live on Earth for a while and experience the stuff in Hunting ground. Why? Well since the Jungle hunting clan is preoccupied with fighting the super predators, they won't have time to collect Dutch just yet.

Or...maybe they did collect Dutch immediately after the 1987 mission but then maybe Dutch won a gladitorial combat match against another Predator or monster and he was granted freedom for his accomplishment or hijacks a spaceship back to Earth and experience some of the hunting
ground events.

Or maybe he even allies with one predator clan like what happened to Machiko Noguchi and adopt some of the ways of the predator hunting culture before meeting Naru and he helps her win back her freedom.

I'm not saying these are the best or most ideal scenarios, far from it, these are just my crazy ideas off the top of my head, I am sure whoever will be in charge of a KoK sequel that would include Dutch have better ideas. Just throwing out some possibilities.

I don't need or want to see Dutch or Harrigan again. I barely even like the Hunting Grounds tapes but at least Arnie decided to voice them and it's definitely not unreasonable to think the Predators would come for him again.

However when it comes to films, live action or animated, just let these guys take their victories over the Predator and move on.

Dutch gets collected, escape the arena like a pro, and lives hidden on the Predator planet à la Noland in Predators. He kills quite a few Predators through the years, improving his skills and using their gear and stuff until he's basically become the Predator hunter he is in Hunting Grounds, except he's stuck on their planet, surviving.

Or they just decide to let him live the rest of his life in peace after Guatemala because dude was just going through it.

The idea that all Predator killers have to be kidnapped seems unnecessary. Let Dutch live in peace, any attempt to reintroduce his character seems like hacky writing.

The implication of the warehouse is that they (or at least this clan) take *all* survivors and that is one aspect that I fundamentally disagree with.

Wweyland

The warehouse seems massive so probably the Preds are even worse at winning than we thought

Youngbloods, perhaps. It takes significantly more skill to abduct those survivors without trace though, so those that do prevail must be more formidable.

The ones who kidnap use whole-ass ships.

If we were to bring back Dutch, I do think animated is a perfect way to do it. But I wouldn't want to see him kidnapped and thrown in the arena. I'm not against this concept of victors being kidnapped for arena concept - it's something I can easily see Predators doing - but I would be against every single theatrical victor we have being kidnapped.

What?? You don't wanna see Dutch, Harrigan, Royce, Isabelle, McKenna and Naru all together fighting in the arena like it's the portals scene from Avengers: Endgame??
