Predators aren't being sent back to different time periods. They're just hunting in the time periods that they live in, and collecting prey to put in stasis along the way. That prey is then thawed out in batches at whatever point in the future.

Dan Trachtenberg just leaked one of the stories for Killer of Killers 2. One of the stories shows a Predator coming to Earth 3.7 billion years ago, finds a puddle of primordial soup, and fires its plasmacaster into the puddle. The Predator roars in triumph, having conquered Earth's greatest challenge.
