Shall we have a thread on things that move? Planes, trains and automobiles (and ships too)? Any fans of those wonderful mechanical devices on here?

I'll start. I learned about "Miniatur Wunderland", one of the top attraction in Hamburg Germany. It is the world's largest collection of HO scale model railway, with over 1000 trains and over 10,000 train cars. Its known in the US mainly by the model railway buff community. But its appeal is not limited to model railway fans, as it also contains a very large model airport, with model planes that taxi, takeoff and land, plus a mini-Monaco with the famous F1 track and other race cars plus ports and model container ships. Not to mention entire mini-landscape of mountains, towns and urban cities from around the world:

In particular, there is a new attraction, a mini-Monaco with the famous F1 track (with mini F1 race cars zooming along the track):

My friend who has been there told me its an amazing place you can spend the whole day to explore. Want to pick that place to be on your bucket list?

$70,000?! That's a bit...beyond my budget for an rc plane, hahaha.

Speaking of rc vehicles, I do like rc submarines:

There are numerous high speed rail networks in the World (mainly concentrated in East Asia and Europe, but now also appearing in parts of the Middle East). But many consider the best high speed rail to be either the French TGV or the Japanese's Shinkansen. The French TGV was the first high speed rail in Europe when it opend in 1981 with a line between Paris and Lyon. It is also the fastest conventional rail train in the world by record. The Shinkansen is the world's first modern high speed rail, opening just before the 1964 Tokyo Olympics.

But which is better of the two? TGV or Shinkansen?

I'd love to see the little airport with planes taking off and landing, and especially that mini F1 track zooming around Monaco. Sounds like the kind of spot where you could wander for hours.

They even included the folding wingtips, wow, talk about adherence to accuracy for the model.

Speaking of planes with folding wings, how about this big RC model F-14 Tomcat? It also has a functional folding wing like the real thing:
