I'm hoping they just remove AVP 04 out of canon and by extension remove AVPR (even though I liked that movie. Mainly for the Predator plotline, the humans were meh in that movie)

On the Alien side of things, they did that back in 2012 the moment Peter Weyland rolled up in Prometheus as the founder of the company.

This new "shared universe" initiative kickstarting with Badlands is likely not going to acknowledge those two AVP films at all (who knows what any of that means for Predator 2's Alien skull [easily written off as an Easter Egg if David remains the Alien's creator moving forward] or The Predator's AVP tail spear [I'd be shocked if The Predator is ever acknowledged in anything ever again anyways though so it probably doesn't matter]).

This is what I think will happen. With David as the Alien's creator this new AvP film would be the first time Predators encounter the Aliens.

Alternately, the David creator thing gets retconned, like God intended.
