I don't dislike them, but I don't apply them to the Quadrilogy. I see a Space Jockey, not an Engineer, when I watch Alien.

RoguePred1987

I consider the 2 AVP movies to be in their own separate continuity.

Janek

The AVP films were clearly rushed, low-effort attempts by the studio to cash in on two iconic franchises. Including them as canon would significantly undermine the established lore—particularly damaging to the Alien universe, but harmful to Predator as well in its own way.

Short answer: Absolutely not.

SM

AvP had been a thing for well over a decade before the first film was made. Not sure I'd call them rushed.

SiL

The films themselves were rushed.

SM

Running time wise you mean? Or production?

SiL

I think they meant production wise. The second was definitely rushed which is why Anderson didn't want to come back.

AvP went from first draft to release in a little under two years, which wasn't particularly rushed by the standard of the time.

Well i'm glad Anderson didn't return. He probably would have made Lex drop kick or kung fu kick a xenomorph in the face in slow motion or is turned off like a robot wearing a predator mask.

There are worse films considered canon than AVP.

False.
