There's a translucent gloss paint by Citadel Paints called "'Ardcoat", but other miniatures paint companies probably have similar things.
Have u tried this? And if so could u post results
I have not tried it on Aliens figures, no.

I have. This one's been entirely repainted with almost exclusively citadel paints, and the 'ardcoat varnish (2 coats) is visible on the cranial and shoulder areas.

If you meant strands of hanging slime, UHU glue is easiest and looks the best, although it's fragile. For a more solid version, you can heat and stretch hard clear plastic, affix the pieces with super glue or epoxy, then build up a "blend" with varnish or water effect - or use a UV resin if you're more confident.

I think hot glue (glue gun) works to and it comes off easily if you need to remove it.

An easy thing to use for the slime is use exactly what they used in romulus.

All you di is get some some sugar, mix it with water until it's a fine paste and gently apply were needed to your figures lol.

Sounds like a good way to get ants.

Depends how much you use. A little bit on maybe the teeth and the cranium would be okay. I thought it was funny that is what they used to create the drool in the movie.

Guys, I need some help. The bending wire from my scorched alien broke, and the tail snapped. Do you have any hints on how to fix it? Super glue doesn't seem to be working.

Boy... you guys got me real worried as I have one of these on the way.
It sounds like you need to try to get a refund or exchange for the sucker... my rule is that glue should never have to be used, unless perhaps it's to fix a piece that isn't supposed to have articulation. If the figure is brand new, it should pass as mint, or you fight your hardest for your money back!

Edit: got mine, used the hot water method... no issues so far! Scorching hot water is a must for figures these days, especially with neca.

So I previously dissed this Fireteam Elite Runner/Dog alien very badly. In fact, I sold my original copy. Recently I've got back into the figures and am buying lots of the figures again. I cycle a lot lol. Shame.

Ne how, I'm more impressed with this Runner Alien this time around. I still think it's not as menacing or accurate as the Ultimate version, but that version has plenty of issues as well. I was lying and diluting myself that it isn't hard to stand it up. But this Runner looks alright I suppose, and if you want a figure you can take on and off your shelf and look at, this is the one.

Ultimate is for display only, Fireteam elite is for 'play'.

Multiple people have complained that even though their tails were perfect at the start, over time they broke. The QC for the tails is terrible, so extreme care is needed. I'm so sorry to hear this happened to you. Have you tried the super glue + baking soda method? That's an option maybe, but you need to know what you're doing.

Also, you could look into soft plastic glues. I'm sure some exist.

I'd assume epoxy is probably your only real option here. Most plastic glues work by melting the material and I'm not sure I've ever encountered one that works well on the type of stuff NECA uses for bending sections.
