Hi,
I came across this purported script for Prometheus (https://prometheus.fandom.com/wiki/Script_Of_Prometheus), and it doesn't appear to match any of the ones in the Downloads section.
It has a character called Murdow, calls the planet Zeus, and at one point makes reference to a sketch by Scott, and features some rather heavy-handed narration by Shaw. It also has Shaw shoot Vickers!
It also has some spelling mistakes :( , but that might be transcription.
Is this "new"? Can anyone authenticate this script? Or is it a known piece of fan-fiction?

Yeah, the dialogue is very clumsy and rudimentary in places ... but it also has some odd elements that makes me wonder. The reference to a sketch by Scott being one - it implies something about the intended audience of the script. Another is calling the Engineers "Terraformers" - if you're writing fan fiction, why not use the established nomenclature?

There's some crazy stuff in there. The monster has a more or less Alien form but the face is similar to a facehugger and attacks in the hangar. The general idea seems to be that the Alien was one of the Engineers' many creations, which is evidenced by a special 'cameo' at the end. They burn it and it infects 'Milburn' ;D

I think whoever wrote this did it with the footage available at the time (Teaser trailer + behind scenes stuff). Shaw's baby is a biomechanical humanoid, and at the end of the story there is a cameo to the Space Jockey in LV-426. But he has no connection to this main story other than being a
'Terraformer'. That was like a fan service made by fans themselves, plus a literal interpretation of that Scott quote about Alien DNA at the end.
I still have the Harvest fake script kicking around.

I don't remember the name, but yes, it was before the movie. Between 2011 and part of 2012 false plots began to appear lol one of my favorites was the one where the stone head was some kind of machine. ;D

I can't remember if that was in the Orange Revised draft or not to be honest. Whoever wrote the Orange draft tried to make it authentic by having a fake e-mail address on it :laugh: and isn't even structured properly as a proper script would. Might have to have a go on google just for a laugh and see what I can find.

Yes, that one. I don't like it completely, just a few ideas. The funny thing is that the Engineers transform Vickers into the "Star Beast". Then years later we have licensed literature, albeit in a different context, where Blue Marsalis transforms herself into a Queen in
Alien: Into Charybdis.

No, it was already an old thread when I joined. I think it might've even been closed but still readable. I just remember Hudson's ice cold reaction to anything involving Eyers for a couple of my first years on those boards.
The typos in this script are hilarious: Planet "Zues", a "baron" wasteland.
Harvest had the bones of an interesting movie. Whoever did that was talented and I could see it turn into something good after a few more drafts.

This was a fake inspired by a "speculation plot summary" made in 2011 by a guy from the IMDB forums IN the IMDB forums, god rest their soul. He explicitly said it was just playing around with what he ïmagined" what the movie would be about after the initial cast sheets were revealed, but people reposted his short treatment all over the web passing it as a leak, and started getting referenced to by clickbait blogs to the point it fell into the Wikipedia feedback loop: big name clickbait news website references the fake leak, Wikipedia references it, other page references Wikipedia, Wikipedia references that other page, and any evidence to the contrary in social media is dismissed by Wiki editors because they're "not valid sources" compared to movie news websites.
This specific fake was floating around shortly before the first trailer came out (the one that started with "A king has his reign...") because "Mudow" was supposed to be Ford (Kate Dickie) in the final film, her real name being revealed in said trailer. The poor spelling led me to believe this was a troll script made to pester the people trying to disprove the rumors spawned from the IMDB forums, which typically outed themselves whenever they made reference to "Mudow".
So the Harvest script was a fake? Meaning it was fan fiction with no officiality behind it?
That was never anything close to real.
There's a fake Prometheus 2 draft out there somewhere. I must have uploaded it to the boards sometime in the past.
