Well wait...Does he say the next movie will end right at Alien, or the next movie is at "the rear end of Alien" ? Meaning it takes place right after Alien happens.

My thought is if Covenant exceeds expectations, they will make 2 more leading into Alien, if its underperforms or breaks even, we will see one more prequel

Agreed. Hopefully we can get the next one sooner than in 5 years because as young at heart as Sir Ridley is, it might be asking a lot for someone in their 80's to direct movies like this. But I suppose if anyone can do it, its him.

Ridley is pushing 80. He definitely wants to pump these out, and fox wants that

Yeah, I think it's asking a lot for 2 more Alien films from Ridley Scott, I mean he will make other films in between as well.

The next Alien instalment, if it's to happen at all and as quickly as possible, will out around 2019/20. Then the one after that, if it was to come out as quickly as it is feasibly possible, would be 2022/23. Ridley Scott would be mid to late 80's by that point.

What I'm saying is that there is only one more fully Ridley Scott Alien film to come, if that at all.
