Stephen Hopkins, he did The Ghost and the Darkness, really cool yet flawed film.

Yup. Its' not like he committed murder, rape or set fire to some people's home. His crime was more akin to a white collar type of crime. He paid for it. He served the time. He should be allowed to resume a normal life. Its a shame what happen to his career...the man has talent. But he sabotaged it with some ill-considered choices. But I guess Hollywood has...long memories in certain cases and may not be so willing to forgive and let bygones be bygones...hence the independent studio route.

He also made some bad movies after all his slam-dunks in a row.  And I very much enjoyed 13th Warrior.

As was Rollerball.

Which never should have been greenlit based on that script. The original film is so, so, so good.
