The lab/breakout was some of the best bits in the whole movie and even that was pretty flawed.

I think this movie could have been up there with the campy feel of Predator 2 had they focused the story more. Made it more like a Badblood storyline where they actually utilized Fugitive better.

I remember an interview where Shane talked about cramming as much as he could into this movie and I was like 'when is that ever a good idea?' 😬

In these franchises I still don't understand why the directors don't understand less is more.

It's the oldest most universal law for any horror or monster movie.

Less is more. Always.

Always. Hence an important factor for the unanimous success of the original '87 film.

Janek

Always.

I am in shock that some on here prefer The Predator over Predator 2.  :o
Predator 2 is a f**king classic. The cast is stellar and the plot is actually very good and it expands the lore.

The Predator felt like a cheap popcorn flick and it left nothing behind imo.

I wish it could have been a cheap popcorn flick. Hell, Predators is a cheap popcorn flick.

The Predator is an atrocity. Genuinely one of the most unpleasant theatrical experiences I've ever had.

SM

Predator 2 and The Predator are cheap popcorn flicks.  The Predator has a better cast and performances, but Predator 2 is better is every other respect. By a fair margin.

Predators, for it's faults - mainly of being a too first film referency - just feels like a better made, more accomplished flick.

And was ahead of the curve in showing that IDF snipers are pieces of shit equivalent of death gang members to a mainstream audience.

BigDaddyJohn

Is Isabelle portrayed that much as a piece of shit ? I honestly don't remember it enough.

SM

Not per se but look at the company she keeps.
