I love seeing new stuff coming out related to Alien and/or Predator, long may it continue.
This movie was fun and well-made, and I genuinely enjoyed parts of it. But something about it just doesn't sit right with me, and I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe it's the way people are praising it like it's groundbreaking, when to me, it felt more like safe fan service than bold storytelling.
All the short stories basically followed the same formula: the Predator shows up, kills some nameless characters, and then gets taken down by the protagonists after a predictable struggle. The plot armor was thick across the board, which really took away from any sense of danger or suspense.
In a franchise built on tension, survival, and overwhelming odds, that kind of predictability is disappointing. It wasn't bad by any means... just not as daring or memorable as the hype might suggest.
I forgot to mention that I LOVED hearing Michael Biehn's voice in this, he is a legend.

Really? Out of Predator, Predator 2, Prey and even Predators... Killer of Killers is your fav one? Just curious and in no way judging your opinion.
