As strange as it was I actually liked Hunter's Planet quite a bit.  Big Game was also pretty good.

I've just finished reading "Hunter's Planet". Well, I'm not gonna say I hated it but it left me kinda unsatisfied. "Prey" was way better.

Gonna buy the third novel next.

Wasn't "Hunter's Planet" the one where the guy owning the place had dreams of actual galactic conquest as opposed to the usual urban passification stuff you'd find?

Then I'm going to have to say "Prey" is my definite favorite, it pretty much set up everything for the next two books. And it also has the legendary Broken Tusk.

Yes, it was that one and it's crap.

Prey was best out of the 3, while I felt Hunter's Planet (my first AVP book) was odd, but alright. War IMO was the weakest out of the 3, I didn't like the fact the Yautja couldn't tolerate Machiko, while in Prey that last Predator was all for having a human alongside in the hunt.
