You guys really have to realize him surviving is not rly unrealistic some factors that play into his survival would be ;)
A. He is clearly wearing some body armor so that would provide some protection 8)
B. In real life I have seen things showing ppl getting shot in the head and impaled through the chest and live without any extreme disabilities :o though there are few cases
C. Referring to letter B and adding on to this it is a fuking movie if they want to have Ricky get his lower half ripped off and then turn him into Lt. Dan (Forrest Gump) they damn well will ::)

I just saw it again, it's definetely Ricky on the Chopper. Snapshot doesn't look that well though....
maybe its an alternate scene filmed, like planet terror they filmed the little kid surviving at the end and him dieing but he ened up dieing in the final cut.

You know, the human body is a complicated thing. People have actually lived through some traumatic injuries before. I remember reading a news story about a motorcyclist and his passenger who were both skewered through the chest with a pipe like a human Shish Kebab and they survived, it isn't too much of a stretch to believe that Ricky could live through an injury like that.

If it misses the heart, even by an inch, it's possible that any human can survive an injury like that. Plus, we don't know if he was stabbed directly through the heart (I always thought the red band trailer showed him getting hit through the shoulder).
Scar got the Queen's business end right through his midsection. His injuries looked more severe than what Ricky gets in that trailer.

3/Maybe Ricky will be killed in the chopper by an alien, because in the trailers, we can see an alien striking at the "cockpit", "window" of the chopper, and in the German footage, Kelly seems to be a little 'quiet', this means The alien(s) didn't attacked at that moment, but mayber just a sec after; So an alien should finnish Ricky.

the giga digital footage confirmed that fe minutes ago. also, ricky is undestructible, it looks like little pudlle bite him in the forearm.
Ok judging by Neca Predalien I bought and every stinkin shot from the movie I've seen, the Chet tail is massive, if you get speared by that no way you should live. It looks like a mace-end on steroids. The damage going in then getting pulled back out would be massive.

Not nessicsarily. Doesn't look like the tip has gone through to the tail base, more like only the tip has pierced in. And yes it looks like his shoulder not his chest.
He still has the potencial of slowly bleeding to death since there is a large artery running past ur collarbone to your shoulder and down your arm.
Given that you can clearly see something pushing his vest up at the front, the implication is pretty clear that he's been impaled.
Apparently Alien tails don't do much when they go through shoulders. Look at Scar.

I was specifically talking about mammalian spinal structure, a nerve chord and vertebrae.
Part of spinal trauma is the spinal chord being severed. This could be different in Predators, they could have a distributed nervous system or something.
Plus, they don't need an exact spine for locomotion, there very well could be a separate bone structure not seen on this planet.

Hmm...not sure about this. I just watched the redband again and the camera angle makes it look like the tail is going through the chest, but maybe it is impaling the shoulder. Just have to wait and see, I guess.

Man, this isnt like a bullet wound to the leg, this is through the shoulder, he shouldnt even be able to move around like he is.......
ahh so you've seen the movie as well. This isn't the leg, it's a serious shoulder wound that shouldnt impair his movement.
Oh and a bullet to the leg is worse than shoulder
leg=zero to low mobility
shoulder=complete movement of body except for shoulder/affected arm is avaliable.
Until i see his body language in the movie in it's entirety, I and no others who haven't seen the movie can correctly judge whether such a shoulder impairment if it is indeed to the shoulder has been accurately portrayed (or as best it can be).
^ Having seeing the force of the tail when it hits him id say he would died from impact, yet alone survive a tale through the shoulder/chest.....
