Forget Aliens, giant men are the real threat.

^ Should've been Stanton's costume in the film.

There's a great pic somewhere of Tom Skerritt standing on the Alien set with, I think, Gordon Carroll, both wearing flares. It's pretty funny.

Cap. Fitzgerald

I don't think I ever noticed the suits let off that steam, that's pretty cool looking

The most astoundingly lifelike puppet Winston's team ever created, by far.

RIP Jones.  :(

Don't those pics just scream 1986 though?

One of the things I love about the pic of Stanton and co further up is that it makes it starkly clear when A  L  I  E  N  was made: at Shepperton in 1978 when the only other film in production AFAIA was a soft porn flick called Playbirds starring Mary Millington. A  L  I  E  N  neatly sidestepped the fashion trends of its age and created a look that filtered into fashion over the following years. Another plus to the original.

Not really - it was filmed in '85

Unmatched in its look, for sure. Dark Star with a mean budget!

Bah, I was going to say 85 but I thought someone would pick me up on it, so I played safe.
