What do you think about a xenomorph redesign

Not convinced. There is an evolution in filmmaking (some for the better and admittedly some for the worse).

Absolutely, and Scott wanted the thing bouncing off the walls in the original film.

But you suggested looking in Giger's mind for how it should move, and mate, if you've seen his work, you know it's just fat asses grinding on dicks all the way down.

I think doing more interesting things with the alien's adaptions would be cooler such as in the prototype novel where the alien grew hardened tumor armor and acted as a walking plague was a really creepy and interesting visual.

The Alien is redesigned between almost every film.  Even ARes to AvP gave the AvPaliens a different color tone. 

Also you don't need to do anything drastic, because you have the black goo now.  So you can just make a new flavor of the week monster every film/series now.

I mean it kinda gets rid of the need to do anything special with the Aliens doesn't it?  We will never get a praetorian because they'll just be like, lets throw some goo on a walrus and have a swimmy monster now.

I think that'd be extremely disappointing, the black goo is obviously here to stay in some capacity, but the idea of using it every movie feels incredibly lazy.

Regarding a redesign (and I'm basing this off Big Chaps design as for me that's the gold standard)

Should only be done if it genuinely fulfils a need... and that need should up the ante too. We don't need a redesign for the sheer sake of a redesign.

Hard to perfect something which is already perfect IMO.
If it ain't broke - don't fix.
