I agree. The only plausible explanation is if the release date is later than we think. But I seriously am in need of a teaser site now, and it would be even better if there is a teaser trailer. I mean The Dark Knight isn't scheduled to be released till way next year, they already have a teaser site up now. And Iron Man, look at how much stuff they've released already....
Thing is, If they don't even have a title yet, I doubt they would waste cash on posters and sites..... :'(

You know what I have been thinking: The Dark Knight title has one year old, and I have been thinking what if they do a Batman Begins thing, meaning not presenting the title upfront but at the end of the movie and the title is 'AVP - Survival of the Fittest...? :D
That would win us over, wouldn't it...? :D
Also, there is still, huh (counting my fingers) 7 months to go...Plenty of time to advance a poster, title, promos, teaser, trailers, etc... They could do that every month till December: one promo per month, one teaser in two months, a trailer in four or five, and in the meantime, a contest to discover the best title for the movie, among the fans...! ;D :D
I did'nt read what colin said the first time round properly, he said they are finishing Editing the Trailer! so surley it can't be that long? and if it needs editing then it must involve some shots, and not just the heads of both creatures and some sound effects!

If we see nothing by Die Hard 4, thats the point where I will lose faith in the movie, there is NO reason why there should be this much secrecy. AVP (say what you will about it) made alot of money, and they had a website up before they even started filming the movie!

Die Hard 4 is PG-13.. .So they are not gonna show a preview of an R-Rated AvP2
Not to mention they're garnering negativity from the fans. If all we get is scraps, then scraps is all we have to go on to formulate an opinion on the movie. This is an anticipated movie; you can't just say to people 'shut up and wait until we're ready to grace you with our presence'. You give people info, they're going to create ideas based on this info, even if it's just one or two words.
And to think, there are people with degrees on how to best market something ::)
Well i think they do have something but FOX doesn't want to release it yet...for some reason...they like to see us suffer, i'm not going to play their game anymore >:(

uhhh? are you kidding? the first trailer for Resident Evil 3 (Rated R) was with Ghost Rider (PG-13) rating has no factor in previews, only distribution companies.

When they made Alien, they released no pictures of the alien during production and post. They only let the team see it.
That's because it was new and exciting.
The new designs are cud and anticlimactic.

But if we can get a confirmation on the number of creatures, Ie more than 3! than thats a start! Save the Predalien questions, they just wont budge on that bad boy....

Are we talking more or less than a hundred? It's hardly going to ruin the entire film.
I know we seem a bit...well...impatient and bitter and etc. But after being raped by Paul Anderson and the crap that was AR, we're a bit...well, bitter. Yes, bitter is the right word.
Bitter, jaded, annoyed, frustrated. We get dicked around, then we're expected to go see the movies like good little minions based on the title alone.
So you'll need to forgive us when we react negatively. We're just looking for something to look forward to. Some info to get us Chestburstingly interesting - haha - so...yeah.

I don't know about the believability of just some 'regular Joe' being able to fire assault weapons like Colin has confirmed earlier in the Questions thread, nor how cool will be the scenes of National Guard soldiers who we all know are not elite like Marines or Deltas are, will be able to kill very aggressive and fast aliens, especially if they number by the dozens... That will depend on how fast they breed, which, hopefully, won't be like AVP... in a matter of minutes...
I guess I will have to wait and see... one mississipi, two mississipi... ;)

haha, so many action movies are like that. I hate it when bad guys just wait to get shot. I recall the end scene in Hostage with Bruce Willis. There is like 6 guys with machine guns in this small room, and they form a circle around Willis who just has a handgun and he manages to kill every person in the room with like one bullet each.

That's really the only new thing, the guy beforehand is like "Don't ask them if the crossbreed is in the movie or what's the ending" so no one asked them questions really except me and I think a couple of other people, not sure though.

Well, given that they already released pictures of the Alien and the Predator in this movie, there is only so much left to show. From what I can tell, the only things still worth knowing are the new beastie(s) and the story (other than the fact that two alien species will be killing many people). With more than six months left until the supposed premier date, I would say they're doing a good job at rationing themselves. Even if I hate being dangled.

I guess that poor turnout demonstrates that a teaser is NECESSARY more than just OBLIGATORY... though there are still 7 months remaining (5 after the announced teaser gets out)... But 2 months is too long, not to mention 5 on top of that !!!... :'(
They have been keeping this film in the dark from us for some time now. Even we the fans who keep checking up on updates of the film, or any comments Colin makes still in the end has us guessing about many things. This is nothing like the first AVP, we had a trailer and the makings of AVP way before the dam movie came out.
I guess in a month or two, we should start seeing AVP2 explode on the internet with a offical website and then the big word of AVP2 will start to really spread. In a way I hope they don't show us that much, because it's just like what Colin said "less is more," and we all want a surprise. In a good way of course.
I'd settle for some new production stills. I can't believe there's only been one so far.

This small event was mostly for Tom to sign autographs, and to show his new short film that he made (it's really messed up :) ). It wasn't ever a AVP2 event, and I crashed the party as a surprise guest, and to buy some rare DVD's at some of the booths. Also, the people watching is amazing that these events.

I'll agree with Colin about not wanting to give away ALL the good bits with previews and trailers and pictures and etc...but a short 30 second teaser with quick shots would be nice.
