In the article Darkness recently posted about the new PSP game based on the movie, it mentions something about late in the game gaining the ability to use 2 Plasmacasters, or shoulder cannons. What do you guys think about this? What if it was in the film?

Personally, I think it could be cool, but only if done very well, so as to not be cheesy as hell.

SPEC. AGENT KEYES

2 of them..........wow. :-\

There is no way it could be done in the movie without being cheez...it hasn't been done anywhere previous movies, books, comics...NOWHERE...so they better not put it in the movie

Notice I didn't mention games in my other post...that's because for games things can be added for better game play which is understandable, but never in my life would I or anyone else for that matter consider a game as any sort of cannon.

I wonder why most of you are anxious about some new suggestions. Why not 2 canons? They are an advanced race they continue to develop their weaponry all the time.

The epilogue to the very first 'Aliens Versus Predator' comic showed the capture of a Queen and made the precedent for showing a Predator with two cannons, but they were beam DEWs ('Direct Energy Weapons'), probably either particle beams or lasers, instead of what they usually had.

Unfortunately, all the rest had those weird rifle things. The twin beams actually looked quite effective and practical.

If they're deliberately hunting Aliens, I would expect them to have better and potentially more weapons than at other times. Two shoulder cannons sounds fine. They might even have an automated cuing system, seeking out targets for themselves. Two of them being like self-contained miniiature Phalanx systems would probably help a lot to prevent it being overwhelmed by a swarm. :)

I think it would be fine. If nothing else, it would certainly double the firing rate.

I don't see why. It's just making the equipment symetrical. I was even expecting them in the first.

I've already seen it, as I said, in the comic. It was fairly tame, considering some of the stuff they churned out, back then. :)

If someone Photoshopped it, it wouldn't look weird, at all. The things fold back when not in use, in any case. They're compact.
