The epilogue to the very first '
Aliens Versus Predator' comic showed the capture of a Queen and made the precedent for showing a Predator with two cannons, but they were beam DEWs ('Direct Energy Weapons'), probably either particle beams or lasers, instead of what they usually had.
Unfortunately, all the rest had those weird rifle things. The twin beams actually looked quite effective and practical.
If they're deliberately hunting Aliens, I would expect them to have better and potentially more weapons than at other times. Two shoulder cannons sounds fine. They might even have an automated cuing system, seeking out targets for themselves. Two of them being like self-contained miniiature Phalanx systems would probably help a lot to prevent it being overwhelmed by a swarm.
I think it would be fine. If nothing else, it would certainly double the firing rate.
