In Prometheus David showed his curious side by slipping Holloway the mickey that eventually killed him. David may not have intended for Shaw to become infected, that may just have been a rather pleasant side-effect for him.
There have been a lot of rumours and leaks about what David's connection to any of the creatures in Covenant will be.
I've always liked to think of David like Burke in Aliens when he opened the glass jars containing the facehuggers and tried to get them acquainted with Ripley and Newt.
In other words, I would prefer if David is just a catalyst to creature formation in Covenant, rather than a creator of new creature species or some kind of Dr Frankenstein.
If you had the choice, which would you prefer - David as catalyst or true creator?
