Over the years I have read a lot of peoples comments about James Cameron's woke direction in his films. I always used to ignore these comments and somehow I have wanted to see his films as "neutral" entertainment, but I must admit that my own opinion has changed a bit over the years.
For example, in Aliens, labeling Lambert as a trans person was completely unnecessary, partly in that way Cameron was advancing his own view. Although I still wonder how much the well-known feminist Gale Anne Hurd has influenced Cameron's work. I also can't say whether Cameron consciously tries to preach his own agenda in his films, or whether they are just a reflection of his own thinking and values.
But this video really reinforces the message and idea that the film industry is trying to change people's perceptions and attitudes.
