Same here. He's doing some Romulus stuff for me.

So do you have the asteroid half in-hand? Does it just fit over the NECA half?

If I were to hang the NECA half on a wall, would the other half just fall off or does it attach somehow?
Nope, don't have it in hand yet.
The asteroid is actually 2 pieces. Top and bottom. It's totally separate from the Neca version.

Finally have my review done after some delay! I saw a few folks talk about how they have had trouble opening up the containment pod and swapping out the parts, I go over that in the video. I hope you can check it out!

Fantastic review Mike!
Thanks for posting it.

I wanted to ask if you could show how you did the electrical effects in camera?
I may have to try that.

Totally! I didn't do a great job of capturing a video of it on Scorched, but you can see the light I used here in this shot of Big Chap. It's the one making the blue light on him here. It's a LumeCube with a spotlight attachment on it along with a blue gel to give it that color. I had it really close and turned down on brightness and it gave that specific electrical look.

Here is the light itself on their website.

I'm not able to find their modification pack anymore that includes the spotlight, which is also called a "snoot". But here's a link what it looked like. Mine came with a carrying case and little colored gels too. I'm wondering if they've discontinued it.

I'm unsure if this site is reliable, but this is the exact set I have.

I can only hope, because your pic is spectacular.

Also, thanks for the link. I went ahead and bought the LumeCube set.

Awesome! I really love mine. A heads up though, those little guys can get HOT when they run for a while. I've had a few times where they've been quite hot to the touch during some shoots with them. I make it a habit of turning them off when I'm in between shots.

I saw about 5 copies of Scorched in the NECA section at my local Target the other day. So it seems they are shipping to retailers now too.
