Additional material from the upcoming game Alien: Isolation by Creative Assembly and Sega has surfaced online today. As we recently revealed, the previously leaked material was being dumped from XBL and now the game itself has been publicly listed on XBL here. The Xbox Live Marketplace overview describes the game as an action and adventure shooter that features online MP and co-op, up to 4 players.

Well, the story is gonna be shit... hopefully I won't have to say the same about the gameplay.

Hmm...I'm definitely cautiously optimistic about this. A survival horror Alien game, hopefully along the same vein as SCP Containment Breach and Dead Space (The first one and the second one to a lesser extent.)

I am assuming that the release date is for the article.

Story sounds mediocre. But it should be entertaining.

It sounds like the Alien will be the UNKILLABLE enemy who stalks you throughout the game kinda like Pyramid Head from Silent Hill and Nemesis from Resident Evil 3.  It also sounds like many of the normal enemies will be panicked idiots who attack you because of their uncontrollable fears regarding the Alien.

Odd that a game called "Isolation" has multiplayer.

The Alien itself does look very sweet.

Not diggin' the whole playing as Ripley's daughter.

Nobody is.

Maybe the multiplayer will play out as a 1v3. One Alien has to find and kill all the other players before a certain time runs. And when the time runs out and a player is alive, they win through an escape pod cutscene or so.

Still gonna wait for the reviews, nice looking alien though...

Gameplay sounds like it might be interesting. Really surprised (and somewhat worried) about the coop and multiplayer. Would rather they just focus on getting a singleplayer game down.

Holy shit, there's only one alien in this game? That's brilliant! No more cannon fodder Aliens, no more Predators, just you and the original beast. This could be good after all.

This sounds interesting, maybe we'll finally get an alien game where you get to be around as everything is falling apart.

I wonder how this co-op and multiplayer will turn out though, 4 players is way to small for anything like a deathmatch.

Deathmatch is the last thing this f**king game needs.

I wish we could get some thing Official soon..

Yeah agreed, if this 4 players only turns out to be true then that pretty much confirms there'll be no deathmatch anyway.

That Alien sure looks lovely. I like the idea of just a single Alien but I'll be worried about how they'll maintain variation - are we going to see many many humans?

Still disappointed we're going to be playing as Amanda but I'll give it a shot and see just how Creative Assembly handle it.

I gotta agree the Alien looks great - at this stage.  This model may be for promo purposes only and not be the final design appearing in the game. 

I'm still very, very cautious about this title.  Playing as Amanda Ripley is just lol-worthy and has me concerned.  Way to shackle your creativity there, dear invested corporate parties.  Keep it conservative like that and you'll have another 'ALIENS: Colonial Marines' on your hands.  This is a mold you need to break out of; not be suffocated by it. 

Coz that's the way it's heading at the moment.

There's no game on earth that needs DM or TDM since 2k4. Its the most boring mode for what can be done with the current tech. There are sooo much objective based modes that can be created with the present day hardware, why to limit the games to this mindless fag fast that is the DM  :-\

Bro.....dont insult the fragging of someone. Anyway,from the what ive seen it looks outstanding. But im not getting excited over it yet. But I have high hopes on it. As far as story, I dont really care about that in Alien any more as no one else seems to care in the corporate buildings.

I think playing as Amanda is a brilliant idea! I've been waiting long for an Alien game, not Aliens. It all sounds great so far! Love the feeling of faithfulness to the first movie I'm getting from this.

The devs can't make the AI of a whole horde of aliens to be challenging, let alone of just one alien  ::) Unless they removed the weapons like in Amnesia, the game will be piss easy to fight against just one xeno. Its either that or there is still one xeno but we are fighting against WY mercs and synthetics  :laugh:

I don't know but I think this game could be fun anyone else think so ??? too?

Okay everyone give them the bennefit of the doubt. This isn´t colonial marines but another alien game by a different developer. Dont discount them because someone like sega/Gearbox desided to release a game that was anything but a finished product.

The whole "ripleys daughter thing" sounds okay to me but why cant we have a game that put NEW caracters in the alien universe and expose them to one of the most terrifying aliens ever created.

Nice try mate but no. The game is coming out for PC FOR SURE. Even so it seems the PC is the main platform. PC/X1 and PS4 are confirmed but we don't know about 360 and 3.

It's coming out on everything but the WiiU.

Yeah, I remember when they were filming the original Alien film, Sigourney was dressed up to be very 'feminine' shall we say by the warddrobe department. Riddles didn't like the way she looked so sent her back to get a much more grungy look about her. I can't remember if he sorted out her apparel personally or not.
