Theatrical too. I heard from someone on production this weekend that the theatrical release is indeed true as well. Perfect Organism's source was correct.

Covenant won't be the last Alien film we ever see in theaters!

Logic.

Death in Venice, The creator are released in cinema.

Iger wants a new policy with Fox premieres. Before, only very commercials in the cinema explained the president of Fox years ago, but now it is not like that and it is being seen in these changes.

This movement goes further than being for Alien but for Fox as a film studio not only on the Hulu platform except for some commercial release and independent cinema.

Prey would have been released in cinema with Iger.

Romulus theatrical definitely takes a bit of the sting out of the Avatar delays today.

Really, really excited and relieved that I'm going to get to see this on the big screen.

Happy to hear this change.I hope that its not only because of Preys success but that they were convinced from the dailies that it's good for a theatrical release too.

Nice.

Cautiously optimistic.

Just another thought – a theatrical release likely means a physical home media release as well.

Most definitely.

I'm reluctant to say definitely, if only because Disney/20th still has The Empty Man and Barbarian (the former being a theatrical release that COVID messed up, the latter being a proper theatrical release) sitting in a corner without physical releases right now, but given the brand attachment here, I'd say it is almost a certainty.

Chuffed to see this out in the wild now.

QuoteÁlvarez, who co-wrote the film with Evil Dead's Rodo Sayagues, is an excellent choice for this particular project, and I can tell you that the off-the-record scuttlebutt on this one is strong. All signs point to Álvarez going HAM on this entry of the Alien franchise; believe me when I say that some of the things I've been told about the production will make Xeno superfans very happy, indeed.

Perhaps worth mentioning that Scott Wampler, who wrote this article, is very big on the prequel films.
