Yeah, he seemed genuinely sympathetic in the end. Definitely look forward to seeing where he goes.

Also, looking forward to more weird fish monsters. Weird fish monsters are great.

A redeemed Orm is definitely possible based on where Johns went with him in his run.

Hmmmm. I suppose they have to cast their net a bit wider since they pretty much adapted the bulk of the Geoff Johns run in the first movie. I was kind of hoping for them to take some inspiration from Dan Abnett's stuff, but oh well.

And Silver Age Black Manta stories will likely mean the story will involve...

Spoiler
Arthur Jr., which will also give them an excuse to get rid of Amber Heard if they want to.

There hasn't been any official comment yet. But I definitely expect it to happen at this point.

"I would say yes," said Wan. "Just like the first movie had a touch of my horror sensibility in it in regards to the Trench sequence I would say that there will be a little bit of that in this next one. I think it's something that is a big part of who I am and just naturally comes out in these kinds of films and especially in a movie like Aquaman where the story takes place in these underwater worlds which can be very scary.  And so naturally my love for the horror genre just means that I latch myself to these scenes and give them a little bit more...uh...of my scary sauce on them."

Damn, the James Wan/Patrick Wilson panel this weekend is only 10 minutes. Oh, how you hurt me DC...

Panel starts in 5 minutes, not sure if they will show anything.

James Wan said they will explore new worlds in the sequel, which was the extent of the tease.

New worlds sounds good to me. More weird undersea monsters, please. That's all I ask for. Also, I hope they don't go too serious with it. I mean, this is Aquaman we're talking about. The silliness is kind of inherent to the character, and the first one was right to play on that.

I was hoping they'd show some concept art, though, or maybe talk about the animated miniseries a little. But oh well, we'll get all that in due time.
