The people behind In Search of Darkness, a recent documentary that focused on the iconic horror films of the 80s, have now set their sights on the science-fiction of the 80s! In Search of Tomorrow is a brand-new documentary that will explore the sci-fi of the 80s, and Aliens and Predator will not be left out! In Search of Tomorrow is crowd funded, and they just launched their Kickstarter campaign yesterday!

“This documentary will be our love-letter to the Sci-Fi films we grew up with; the films that dared to ask, “what if?” and offered us a vision of future technology, society, and culture that simultaneously delighted, amazed and scared us.

We still remember the magic of seeing these films for the first time, and we've been trying to recapture that feeling ever since. Vader's redemption, Ripley's duel with the Alien Queen, Roy Batty's "Tears in Rain", and many more. Moments that surprised us. Moments that moved us. Moments that left a lasting impact on our subconscious. Years later, we're still trying to recapture these transformative experiences.”

Among the many other sci-fi legends already set to appear are Predator actors Bill Duke and Shane Black and Aliens actress Jenette Goldstein, as well as FX creator of the original Predator suit Steve Johnson, Matt Winston, the son of the amazing Stan Winston and Alan Dean Foster, the author of many of Alien’s film novelizations!

At £30, the lowest contribution tier will give you a digital copy of the documentary, name in the credits, access to the Digital Premiere and access to their online community. If you’re craving a psychical copy, the next tier up (at £60) includes all the above perks as well as either a DVD or Blu-ray copy of the documentary, a copy of all 3 of the kickass powers and stickers. If you’re able donate more, there’s further tiers which will give you added goodies like t-shirts, pins, producer credits and tickets to the Hollywood premiere of the documentary!

By supporting In Search of Tomorrow on Kickstarter, you will also gain access to their online community which will enable you to get involved in special watch parties and Q&As with the people involved in making the very films that the documentary will be devoted to, as well as being able to contribute towards the documentary, you will also be able to share your input of rough cuts of In Search of Tomorrow.

If this is something you’re interested in watching, and would like to help support the endeavour please head on over to the In Search Of Tomorrow Kickstarter campaign page and give them some cash to help make this a reality!

Nope.

In search of a cash grab, Part 3.
I supported The Action Hero one and was really disappointed by it...  it's like a Skyscraper Trump Franchise. But thats just me.
