But she actually knew about the derelict.  Time to face facts and mourn its passing.

She knows that Queens make eggs and that Aliens are crafty bastards and you can never be too careful, too. :P

She knew about the derelict, but didn't know necessarily where it was in relation to anything. Also she doesn't know how to launch nukes, and the two people who might are either in a coma or in pieces. Also she's very tired and it's time for everyone to take a nap and go home. She goofed, and the Derelict remains. :)

According to the film itself, if the main menu is to be believed it's one or none onboard the Sulaco just as with the Narcissus/Nostromo. Beyond the Alien Trilogy for the Derelict personally I think it's gone because any source other than Isolation and Infestation, that's included it is garbage, so far. And any good GM will refuse to go back to LV-426 anyway.  :)

Gonna disagree on "garbage", it's in both AvPClassic and the CMTM.

Also I'm having trouble parsing your first sentence, what do you mean?
As for the last sentence, that's kind of irrelevant. The whole reason the RPG made it ambiguous is specifically so GMs could go back there and interact with the Derelict if they wanted to. :P

CMTM is good yes, but it's not like anyone's breeding Aliens out of the Derelict or something idiotic like that, and AVP Classic being more Arcade like/barely/does not tell a story to begin with so I missed out on it. I referred to the number of Alien creatures concealing themselves aboard vessels. Yeah, the RPG's got a number of mistakes, but the good greatly outweighs the bad.  ;D

I've begun to agree that he is not the arbiter of everything, especially when it comes to quality and character judgment, but he's generally reliable when it comes to the current company narrative.

Case in point

So there's room to negotiate?
Sure, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. :) it's why the RPG is ambiguous

The Old One

Right, that's why, compromise.

Local Trouble

Even on the matter of the derelict's survival?

Oh on that? f**k no, the derelict survived and anyone who disagrees will be the first ones against the wall when the revolution comes.

Fight me.
