disappointed with 3 things:
the motion sensor does not appear to go off or make a sound unless you are actually looking at it.
aliens appear very week, the guy killed an alien by butting it in quick succession with his gun twice. seems like ammo isn't a concern if you can just tap the melee button over and over.
melee at best hsould be able to buy time for team mates to shoot the alien off of you and delay its time to tongue-bite you. and you should not be able to out struggle an alien easily, but with much difficulty, again to buy time not out power it.
(Parker vs ALIEN anyone?)
3rdly, the guy who blew himself up in the umbilical suddenly was really cheaply played out.
one, he only suddenly starts to grap his chest, nothing dramatic. then without a second thinking of his team mates, he calmy reaches for a grenade which happens to take too long since the thing bursts anyway. just seems like a big TOOL moment.
surely it couldn't been written better.
maybe he shoots himself with a pistol and the bullet exits his head and ruptures the umbilicle making it unstable to the point of the story - forcing oneal and winter back onto the sulaco.
surely there couldve been better way..
