A new Yautja character will soon be joining the growing roster in Predator: Hunting Grounds. Developer/Publisher Illfonic has posted a couple of teases on their social media of their next Predator DLC.

Check out the teaser images with Illfonic’s captions below:

Once you see these eyes, it’s already too late.

A new Yautja approaches the Hunting Grounds!

It seems like this will be another original Predator, following the last two, Anubis and Gladiator

The Predator will also come with a new weapon set, as we can see dual swords wielded in the second teaser image.

Should there be more teasers before the proper announcement, we’ll update this post to include them.

Once the DLC drops we’ll fire up the game for one of our weekly YouTube livestreams to show it off.

Nice but King Willie prefers:

"You can't see the eyes of the demon, until him come calling"

While I appreciate any predator content added to this game. I do wish we could get a new map/level, maybe some comic or other movie predators instead of random made up designs. Or even a story mode?

Story mode would be great, but I'd also settle for a single player 'wave' mode for the predator, maybe where increasingly difficult fireteams get dropped into the map as you hunt them for the highest score.

I also wish they'd add profiles for the fireteam bots to the loadout screen, so we can change their outfits and weapon skins (I can understand why changing classes and loadouts might cause balance issues).

Thing about online only games is that their life-span is finite, once the servers are closed then that is it. Game over, though you could probably still do bot mode but that is hardly as satisfying.

They really should add a proper single player campaingn in it. One for the humans that can follow the storylines for Dutch, Isabelle etc and one for the Predator. That way the game is not bound by online gameplay.

It seems inspired by Indian culture. I once saw some Indian weapons and armors at the Metropolitan Museum and they're stunning! All covered in colorful precious stones. But I'll be honest: when I saw the mask I thought it was made from a "fossilized" Engineer's space suit.

I don't disagree, but it's highly unlikely they have the personnel and budget dedicated to this title to make that a reality at this stage, especially when we aren't even getting new maps. The server issue isn't necessarily a death sentence if they patch the game to allow peer hosting at the end of its lifecycle.

It's a bit ambiguous, but the 'peninsula' mentioned in the description this predator crash lands on suggests the Yucatan to me, which would make it Mayan.

Can confirm this was the inspiration.
