As in the Predators have captivated a queen. They have pyramids for hunting. Send their youth to prove themselves in combat.

Would you like to see more of this? Maybe on a different world/in the future?

Personally I loved the ancient aspect of the hunt, with the proving grounds inside a predator temple. I also like the idea of the queen being kidnapped and enslaved to produce eggs for the hunt.

I wouldn't mind seeing something similar to the AVP 2010 game where a colony unknowingly has established a world on a predator hunting planet with the temples and such.

Not horribly bad, but not good either.

It would have been an improvement if it wasn't on Earth and there was more versing.

Captive queen goes back to the original comic, so it's fine I guess.

I really dislike the aesthetic they went with for the pyramid.

The stuff it took from the comics, keep.

I don't mind the pyramid but I don't think it's something I'd ask to see back. I wouldn't mind if it did - but I wouldn't ask.

If it did, I'd like the reconfiguring to not stop arbitrarily towards the end.

If we have to do the temple thing, I'd rather it had the Predator look to it, not have been made by human worshippers or look identical on another planet for no reason.

And by Predator look we mean the interior of the ship in Predator 2 right

With its warm ethereal glow that everyone has been too artless to bring back

Since we're going to be spending a lot more time with the Predator in Badlands, I really hope the film finally brings us back around to that aesthetic if we spend some time on his ship and what have you.

I don't think Trachtenberg is that person unfortunately.

Yeah I would love to see a strictly made Predator style pyramid with the glow.

And I wouldn't want an entire movie to be based on the pyramid but I do think that would be cool to get like 15/20min in one showing the queen and architecture.

If it's not going to be the main focus, just ditch it entirely and have the queen on a ship like in the original comic. Getting two birds stoned at once etc.

Prey's ship, though very briefly seen, does have a bit of a tantalizing orange glow. It isn't identical, but it is more than can be said for pretty much any Predator ship since Predator 2.

The Badlands weapon that Trachtenberg shared also seems to be stepping pretty far away from sleek chrome, as was most of the gear in Prey.

I don't know for sure if Trachtenberg will go that route for the potential Predator ship in Badlands, of course, but I do think that if we see one there's a pretty good chance he does.

The ship looks like something out of AvP, not the first two movies, though.

Kimarhi

The temple is a one off for me.

Doing it more than once would be like setting AvP in a church and doing it over and over again.

I'm more in favor of the OG AvP with Machiko and Broken tusk, or AvP2 where there is a living world with awakening Aliens, hunting preds, interloping humans, and ancient SJ tech.

I'm not for AvP ever tying directly into the Alien films, though if there were twenty AvP movies I wouldn't care.

Hot take here...

While I do like the comic, I don't like the idea of a human teaming with the predator.

It works in the comic but it just looked wrong on screen for me during AVP.

And I do think it was executed fine in the comic, but I just prefer it not be done, kind of comes across silly even though I understand why it happened that way and what led up to them teaming.

I like the despair of no matter what both species want to kill you, and they're not your friend.
