Cdl is probably  the closest we will  ever get to interviewing scott cameron  fincher.  he was so  close to all the stuff in those movies  scripts etc that  we will never be able to.  now all we need is a valaquen  interview on the podcast.

I plan on listening to this today.  Not to get too sappy, but this place and some of the folks here helped me get through a nightmarish pregnancy and postpartum period. I'm glad that old school forums like this still exist. The discourse can be very entertaining sometimes

God, me too! I dislike the lack of organisation on modern platforms. At least we've got all the sub-boards and etc here. I just can't cope with Facebook groups or Discords.

Another excellent podcast gentlemen! Aaron, contrary to what you might think, this did not sound like a circle jerk haha. It was actually really interesting to hear how the website and podcast has expanded over the years, and how movies and games affected its growth. I've been a lurker on this forum since 2016 and joined in 2017. Until that time I thought no one enjoyed these franchises as much as me. If it wasn't for you all, I would have never dove into the expanded universe stuff like books, comics and scripts. Also, I have you all to thank for my alien and predator figure collection(much to my wife's distain). Seriously though, You guys have been really instrumental in building the alien and predator community. For keeping the interest alive and well in the fandom!You all should be very proud!

I'm glad it didn't come across too bad! I was so genuinely worried it would be uninteresting. Glad we encouraged you to go diving further! If it weren't for Destroying Angels and the OG AvP comic, I'd not be the fan I am today. Those set me off down a path to here.

-also, I'm not sure who mentioned this but it may have been Mikey, but when ever hop on the internet the first place I check out is AvPG as well. Here's to another 200 episodes!

Oh, Corporal, so sweet of you to mention me - it's pretty silly probably of me to feel that way but I get a kick each time you do it. Btw, whole "learned English listening you" thing is 100% real. I've been lurking here since 2014, looking for Isolation news updates, reading them through Google crude translations. In 2017, when I was in 11th grade and had to prepare for the audible part of my English final exam 'cause I was pretty bad at comprehending people talking in English at the time, I remembered your podcast posts which I'd noticed before scrolling through news page looking for Covenant updates and decided to combine education and entertainment. The first one I've listened to was 3-hour long (which definetly wetted my appetite for a longer form discussions) Covenant review one and let me tell you - It was ecstatic to listen to people talking about the same things I give a damn about in foreign language and kind-of sort-of maybe understanding them. Thank you for that, guys

We can barely speak decent English, so it's still mad to me to know we helped you in any fashion. I don't think you've ever shared the full story before, so thanks for that!

I couldn't tell you exactly how long I've been on the site - I think I came across it in the late 2000s and joined the Prometheus hype train, Harvest / Jockey canon April Fool's and all - but it's been a huge part of my life for at least 15 years now.

What a balm it is to be part of such a passionate community of like-minded ahem ... 'Geeks', as you call us all ... and just look at you now.

Loved, loved, loved this episode. You deserved to look back on all that you've achieved and you should be proud.

I know I don't post a lot, but I'm here, every single day, and it feels bloody great to be part of this community.

Thanks, Dave! I really do have a fondness for that April Fool's prank. And the Harvest script was fantastic. We really did have fun during the Prometheus promotion.

Good episode but my minor gripe is, was this filmed just before Christmas December 2024? The tree in Mike Monsters room and Xenomorphines Christmas cracker gold paper crown were a give away. As too was the Hick's Mike's banter about AVP 2 online deathmatch on PC-CD ROM just before Christmas Eve.

It's like you made this but ummed and ahhed before releasing it. Like a YouTube tokyo "livefeed" from Japan got exposed as a loop as it showed peak Merry Christmas 2023 shoppers, in late January 2024!

It was recorded at the end of December. We often record episodes 2 or 3 weeks prior to them being released. I've just finished edited 1 today, got 2 more to start on, and we've got another 2 scheduled before the end of the month. Busy, busy, busy! 

Ah ok. About me being pedantic I tend to like to be as up to date as possible. So if a podcast is released later I prefer to have a "recorded on" date on it.

Sorry, this is something I'm unlikely to do. It's just not an issue we ever hear people complain about.

Most interesting podcast was one with Rex Pickett when he was unloading on David Giler about the hookers. I was thinking this is awkward 😂

I've spoke to Scott! It was the biggest wasted opportunity of my life and I regret it to this day. 

I do love Charles, though. So genuinely much. Planning to invite him back onto the show soon, actually.
