It's been a minute since I've seen it

I'd be very surprised to see the glow cave in the film. If they're anything like the ones here, they're:

A) too dim for film cameras
B) too delicate an ecosystem for film crews

Maybe as a set though

I could see a *very* small crew being allowed to film in there for a "catching breath/sense of wonder" moment for the mc on her own, but point A) probably overrides it. Like you say, a practical or digital set inspired by it could possibly feature though.

They're always slow unless it's Tolkien or the yearly token Maori film officially selected for white people to feel good about supporting and name dropping.

I know it was extremely far fetched, but I kind of hoped to see a promo of Badlands during the Super Bowl. A real teaser before the trailer.

It costs millions of dollars to drop a Super Bowl commercial; these films ain't getting it.

Looking at the Summer line up, I'm really glad that Badlands releases in the Fall. No way can it compete with Superman. As if the Predator needed his ass handed to him by the Man of Tomorrow yet again lol

Very true, no reason to push it out in summer with an already congested quarter of blockbuster releases, late fall brings in the holiday season which means publicity, marketing and merchandising. It's a smart move for sure.
